i have a 3080ti and I9 9900k and this game on epic drops to 45 to 50 fps often on 1080p, is this normal? I know its not fully optimized and all but I've seen others with 1080ti run this and seems they get better fps than I do, I don't get it.

Sorry, but you mean "sh1t ligths"! I love ets2 but light in the game is very unrealistic. Except the sunlight... because lights at night are the worst thing on this game. Watch a night gameplay of ets2 and and pay attention to lightpoles and headlights effects... you will see what i'm talking about... you also can see my bug video of ets2 ligths in my channel
