Before Rajdhani express started on this route Tamilnadu Express followed by the AP Express were the two fastest trains here...the Tamilnadu express was actually the most respected train on this track...initially it started from New Delhi and the first stoppage was Jhansi....and very few stoppages after that..namely Bhopal, Nagpur, Balharshah, Warangal (not fully sure whether it used to stop there at that time though...I am talking about 30-35 years back), Vijaywada and Madras (It was not Chennai then). But then slowly due to various issues it started stopping at Agra and Gwalior, then Itarsi was added to the list...Anyway coming to the present video it is brilliantly shot...great sight for Rail Fans...thank you Pritam..!

It was a great sight, 👌👏 Whilst the honking adds to the overall viewing experience, I must say that if the people walking on the platform or crossing the railway tracks showed some discipline, most of the honking could be avoided.. It Causes lot of stress and discomfort for the Loco pilot..

Did you know that on its trial run, the Howrah New Delhi Rajdhani express made the journey in 11.30hrs. This was way back in the late’60s.
