Are u fu€kn high. This place sucks azz compared to dallas. Im a life long chicagoan and i went to dallas and didnt want to leave. Dallas was the SH!T. But im betting you are the boujee type, and if so maybe you did find the appeal here, but i scrape the streets for the heat, and Dallas streets were lit as FU€k and not once did i feel in constant danger like here

I'm 46 born and raised in Chicagoland. Chicago nightlife hasn't been squat since the mid-2000's, unless you're into Irish Pubs and rock music. Also, there aren't many entertainment options for people of color anymore. There used to be SO many clubs and lounges where they played hip hop and r&b music, mostly downtown and the Wicker Park area, now all of them are closed. I used to like the Vertigo Lounge downtown, which was on the 25th floor of a high rise building. Sinibar and Red Dog in Wicker Park were the shit back in the early 2000's. The Velasiti Bar and Sound Bar downtown were great. Even the Y Bar downtown was dope with the lingerie dancers. Slick's Lounge was perhaps THE best place for dancing. All are long gone. The great nightlife we once had in Chicago is now gone. I know that times change and I'm older now, but today it's just a waste of time and money. Social media ruined nightlife.

Salute DJP. You right on the dot. I'm a young cat but since 2020 I seen so much changes in the nightlife scene. For the nightlife the city is changing for the worst & a lot of the events at the clubs are private or invite-only.

As a southern California native... Who's 44 y/o. .. who spent a cool decade and a half invested in the nightlife over here I gotta say, I HARDLY SAW, what I would consider a full on group of attractive women... It's crazy cuz after having had my time and experiences over here and kinda putting them to rest I've always had a healthy curiosity about what other popular cities/states nightlife looks like.. and I gotta be honest ...I haven't seen too many that RIVAL OURS here in southern California.. outside of maybe texas and Miami. The Midwest and east coast ....who I have tons of respect and admiration for... musically at least. HAVE A CRAP NIGHTLIGHT SCENE from what I've seen. And the level of attractive women who frequent the club scene ARE BOO BOOOOOOOOOO. (aka terrible) 🤷🏻‍♂️👎🏼👎🏼

Seems far from extreme from all the walking videos I watched. These are in and around downtown and but for them few who sit on the ground holding a sign in english. I see little where visitors and tourist go. There was a period the city had a lot held in lobbies over winter of Police stations. This is not some distant suburb. This is a major city and they always had all aspects of society in every era. It was only a couple decades ago virtually all you see in this video was empty former industrial buildings as this was warehousing and the Meat-Packing District. Now it is a very vibrant neighborhood right next to the Loop. North of the River also renewed and Covid was far from kind.... still most and more back, retail will be the hardest. Still Chicago is lucky to have had a LOT of retail in its core region so what it lost from WFH and Covid shutdowns.... it has plenty still there even those larger department stores on the Mag Mile and boutique high-end smaller ones its side streets like Oak and Rush Streets. I actually never hear someone in those great areas of Chicago and core regions, the lakefront and areas that did not decline from white-flight and lost industry, redlining and blockbusting. They all look great to good of every era it grew. New feeds concentrate for political gain and division on those areas a visitor would have no reason to go. The city also gets points for on of the cleanest American large cities without that sterile effect some get and heat to keep one off streets.

Idk why everyone saying. I get it Chicago does not have the best nightlife in the world but still there are some cool stuff and you can enjoy the nightlife here. If I may ask what is the big difference between Chicago and Southern California when it comes to nightlife ?

@@jaywizz7008 I totally understand, tampa and Florida in general is a major hub for nightlife and tourism and that’s why I’d imagine clubs and bars are more packed than here. However I’ll be going to Florida soon to capture the beaches and the night life. So stay tuned

Dude, Chicago's entire nightlife isn't in just this one spot. 🙄🙄 Is Tampa's nightlife just as spread out? Also, it's not as if we have the same weather, riiiight? 🙄🙄 "tampa Florida a city 1/10th the size" Last I checked, Chicago's population is 6.6-times bigger, not TEN-TIMES bigger. 🙄🙄 What else are you inaccurate about? 🤔🤨 What stadium is more "lame" than Tropicana Field? 🙄🙄

@@JdeC1994 everyone is old. The clubs are all boring and have no character. And yeah exactly it’s all spread out and not walkable. The whole city doesn’t have a single goth club. 6.5x the size and can’t even have something that basic?? Or any sort of club that’s not some boring trash. And everyone is old AF EVERYWHERE u go on a night life. 1/10, it’s really that bad.
