My family has always eaten together around the table as long as I can remember. I’m 23 now and we all live in separate homes, so we do a Sunday morning breakfast before church and I truly believe eating as a family is what kept us close. 💖💖

Thank you for a glimpse into your family's night routine. It so reminded me of our routine when our kids were young. They are now 44, 42 1/2 and almost 40. It seems just like yesterday some days. Even our grandson are growing up way too fast. 6 mos., 6 years, 15, 16, 17 and 19.

We all eat together every dinner, and also lunch on weekends. We eat dinner by 5.30pm, so it's early but eating together is more important to us. Lovely video as always.

I miss our time with our kids when they were small, we have three sons but we do enjoy time with them as adults too. My husband loves tv but we watched all of Elementary ,we were addicted, but then I look back and realize how much time we wasted just watching tv we could have rode bikes, did things outside or even played card games together so we are trying to stop watching so much tv and we never go to the movies anymore. It's like waking up finally and realizing how much time was just wasted.

Kendra, I've been watching your channel since you found out you were pregnant with the twins... I love your style, and the way you teach your kids, so sweet of your girls was that June? when the tooth paste got into her hair, "its okay mamma, it was a accident". so sweet and forgiveness means a lot keep up the loving example. My Husband commuted into NYC so he got home later. I would eat with our Son earlier and keep a plate warm for him. Then when he got home we would sit with him and chat. The kids are so cute. 💞💖

I am in the thiiiickkk of it right now. My twin boys are almost 2.5, and I just had boy number three two weeks ago in a very traumatic attempted vbac/turned csection after my uterus ruptured. I’m sore and exhausted, and can’t wait to get into more routine and normalcy. I love your videos. ❤️

You have such a great routine with the kids! My four year old twin boys have an unusual schedule since they don't sleep much (dropped their naps at 2 1/2). They typically eat dinner after 7 and I always eat before they do. I'll have them in bed by 10:30 but they don't fall asleep for another hour. :( You can say that the night is one long drawn out night for us. They're up before 7 the next morning.

Try putting them down earlier and see what happens. Our girls wake up at 6:00 or 6:30 no matter what time they go to bed which is why we put them down earlier

@@kendraatkins Believe me I've tried! I put them down at 8:30-9 for a few weeks and they'd always spend hours jumping around and talking. Our pediatrician told us if they have plenty of energy, which they do, and aren't lethargic not to force sleep. For selfish reasons, I'd love them to sleep more!

Not yet!! Getting outside it the biggest thing that helps so if it’s sunny we are outside most of the day

We eat lunch and dinner together every single day :) it's very camon here in Switzerland.....All the families I know do it like that....On the weekend is also breakfast together.

We always eat together as a family. Even if one of us isn't hungry, we sit and enjoy the company 😊 sometimes the baby will be on the ground crawling around. She's the exception 😅

We do have dinner as a family but I help the kids eat first, then have mine. If their dad finshes his meal before, he continues to monitor them while I start.

How is it they can leave you alone in the kitchen while cooking and cleaning. I can't even cook and clean in peace. My 4yo needs to play and talk to me all the time. My head needs to be looking at him and responding to him even when I'm cooking or even DRIVING. I need a breather. It would be a dream if I get to cook and clean in peace like this.

Also, how is it you're only cooking dinner at 4pm but they're all in bed by 6.30 or 7pm AND you get to eat, clean, bath, watch TV all by 6.30/7pm???? It would take 30min for me to get my 4yo to do something like undress or brush teeth or wear clothes. He will keep telling me to wait and have more stuff to show or talk or play before actually doing the thing I asked him to. Also how is your boy NOT moving when you're dressing him??? My 11mo RUNS FROM ME WHEN I AM TRYING TO PUT ON DIAPERS AND CLOTHES FOR HER. Idk I feel like my life would be wayyyyy smoother if I had your kids. It's not about the routine cos my routine is set but it's about the kids who RESIST and DELAYS every single step of the way.

I can't remember this day but usually they all play together! Or when they are playing outside I'll clean up. Do you have other kids? I think that is what helps me out with Owen. He always wants to play with the girls. But if I ever have him by himself he definitely wants my attention the whole time.
