how long is a night shift? and is the flight officer also a paramedic?

We work 10.5 hour shifts, from 1830-0500 on nights. Flight Officers on all CHP helicopters are Paramedics. Thanks for asking!

Thanks for noticing his cell phone, lol. Did you notice the hard right turn just before that? My pilot had to double check the times on a TFR because the Blue Angels were in town. That’s what he was doing on his phone right then. I’m assuming that’s what your comment was for. Once we were clear on the times, we turned back to the south along the shoreline.
