The sky turned blood red at night in a city in eastern Zhejiang province. An expert explained it was caused by a refraction of the lights from a fishing boat because of the cloudy and foggy weather.

In my country there were brutal fires in the forests that lasted 4 months, one day the sky darkened out of nowhere, it was in the afternoon, only after that we understood that it was the smoke on the other side of the country. In that same period the temperature was unbearable, when the sun went down it was a frightening blood red, because it was covered by a fog that blurred everything, it was a sad scene it seemed that the sky cried and bled before leaving, the only things what moved were the birds in the sky, because there was no wind, NO WIND, deathly still, it seemed that time was frozen, I remember looking at the leaves of the trees waiting for any of them to move, it was scary I thought it was the end of the world

The funny thing is. They didn't explain why the boat had so many red lights. And why it was there docked with its lights on and the fog wasnt even that bad. And how is it the citys first time seeing this? Could it be something else was going on that they didn't want anyone to know about and made up this boat to explain the phenomenon? I don't see how the light from this boat stretched so far and wide even with the fog. And why no one knew about the boat and its purpose before hand. Strange

Kia ora Seena, did Tongan light up the other morning? It was beautiful bright red. Aoteraroa, Ruapehu maunga has been increasing in active. It’s at level 2, they’ve been flying over it getting gas samples (crazy pakēka lol). We are waiting for it, makes a mess. We’ll be in big trouble if it does. That maunga is surrounded by agriculture. It's not the amount of light that's causing this. It's the particle size (aka refractive index) of the fog that specifically spread Red light. It's an interesting phenomena. If you can, do read about it. Did you know that peacocks' feathers are in reality colourless? It's the same phenomena that's responsible for its colourful wings :)
