My daughter has experienced sleep paralysis, and I think her eyes was open at the time. I had gone into her room calling her to wake up, but she wasn't responding to my questions or motioning to get up. I got scared because we'd recently lost a daughter two or three year prior. I thought about calling the ambulance, but didn't. I didn't know what to do. She wasn't dead and still normal body temperature. When she came out of it, she said, "Mama, I could hear you, but couldn't say anything or move." She explained that it was scary, and that they're called sleep paralysis. She read about them. She expressed that she'd had some before. I think my son have had one this year. I think I have begun to have dreams again since the 2013 loss, but can remember the dream or it in its entirety. I only remember that I feel outside of my body at times.

So us reciting the Holy Scriptures is more powerful than us listening to the Holy Scriptures during these encounters?🤔

Yep had that battle. Black folks in the south call them “haints”.
