That is absolutely beautiful. It almost has that 1970s Scorsese-filmed New York city gritty feel to it.

Looks great! Do you have any links that helped you learn these techniques that you could share? I would like to do some tests just like this myself.

All the images in this are so beautiful and striking. I’m a student currently and can’t exactly afford a camera like this right now, but have been in awe since i saw this footage, and am thinking of saving up. I was just wondering if you had any advice about whether or not that would be worth it and if you could talk about the costs of shooting something like this in terms of film processing, scanning, etc.

Looks way better than what I though was possible with 16mm film in those lighting conditions. The girl in Spadina has nice legs.

Absolutely exquisite!

This looks beautiful. But also, it looks like it was shot at night. Something that's sometimes easy to mess up with video on modern cameras that can utilize very high ISO with very little image degradation. This looks clean and like it should.

This is stunning. How did you manage to get such a clean image? I've shot on film plenty of times before but never at night. Now I have a music video coming up in a month with 100% of the scenes taking place at night. Planning to shoot on 500T but still torn whether to push it 1 stop or rate it at 500. Did you push the film here? Thanks in advance!

Great nocturnal images! Really like the colors. Also, Angeniux 12-120mm?

Thanks! It's actually a Kern Switar 10mm f1.4 @ 2.8, pushed three stops, should've pushed four instead. I also had with me a 6mm adaptor for the 10mm.
@bryans86537 жыл бұрын
when you say you pushed three stops - that means you told the processing place to expose as if it was 1600? Right? Trying to understand the lingo. :)
@violenthell5 жыл бұрын
@@bryans8653 No, he means that he told the lab to over-process the film (in processing shadows do not overdevelop, but highlights continue to increase until stopped/fixed), so the lab processed for an extended amount of time to gain him an addition 3 stops of light in the highlights. This is the secret spice to motion film.

Could you please advise what specific camera you used? I am wanting to do some night time stuff with a canon scoopic which has a T2.5 lens. 2.5 is the true stop rating with light loss from the viewfinder subtracted.
