I'm happy for Unc and Ocho regarding the fast success of this show, but I'm a realist. I can see the writing on the wall. There are certain things that are not sustainable over long term. The main thing to me is relying on drama. Anything that relies on drama and/or sensationalism has a short shelf life. Look at 'Undisputed'. It relied on Skip and Shannon arguing. Look where/how it ended. Look at the Jerry Springer show. It was a flash in the pan. Even Donald Trump was a one-term president (the first one in decades) precisely because he relied on drama. The secret to longevity is hope, wholesomeness, and happiness. Oprah, Obama, Ellen DeGeneres (she was controversial in the end), and even Mr. Beast all rely/relied on hope and happiness. If you are relying on the drama of the day, your show will fade when the drama fades 🤷🏾‍♂️

People forget that Shanahan didn’t want to play RG3 the next season after he hurt his knee because he felt he wasn’t healthy enough. RG3 forced his hand. He wore antagonizing shirts during warmups so Shanny played him and he was never the same. RG3 is the reason RG3 sucked. No one else. The proof is Kirk. Kirk had the same coaching and is still playing and playing well.

@@certifiedyaminspector-dadd6224 Kyle and Mike created a whole different playbook for him as well. While they didn’t want him to be drafted, it’s not like they sabotaged him either. They tried to make the best out of a typical bad Dan Snyder situation. It’s easy for fans and Ocho to defend RG3 because that’s what they do, but it’s simply not logical.

RG3 was in too toxic of a situation to be successful. Gruden wasn't the right coach to develop him after everything that happened. Gruden had ties with the Shanahans via Bruce Allen. He likely came into that situation with preconceived notions. The whole thing was doomed to fail as he was drafted by a coach that didn't want him and drafted his replacement in the same draft. They were waiting for him to fail. He made his share of mistakes but they did a 180 on him after 2012. Considering what he sacrificed, I'd be mad too.

Griffin always had the higher ceiling of the two but Cousins was a better fit for the West Coast Offense. Cousins definitely ended up the better QB. I think Kirk was more decisive than the 2013 and after version of Griffin but Cousins had many rough outings when he was throwing ints left and right. A lot of QB success comes from buy in on all sides. I don't think Griffin ever had that. Nobody will dispute that Kirk was better than the version of RG3 after his injury but Cousins was definitely preferred by Gruden. I never think I've seen such a quick hook on a 2nd pick in the draft. Especially a rookie of the Year. Lastly, let's not act like 2012 RG3 didn't beat teams with his arm as well. Especially on Thanksgiving. I've seen him be decisive but he definitely lost his confidence after the injury which I think made him more insecure and indecisive. I'd still take the pre injury Griffin over Kirk though.

@@deon3133RG3 sprained his LCL on week 14 of his rookie season, won offensive rookie of the year and only threw 5 ints and had a QBR of over 102. Goes into the wild card game with a knee brace and a limp and still balled out until he tore his LCL, ACL and meniscus at the same time. And still made it back before the start of the next season to be rushed on the field. And that’s RG3s point, he played off a bad injury when he should’ve been healing. Your husband Kirk cousins was there as a back up, he just happened to be a decent QB
