The singer describes three different people who project very carefully crafted and maintained images: a vegan, an environmentalist, and an upstanding citizen. The singer also describes ways in which these people do things behind closed doors that are contrary to that image: vegan - eating biscuits, environmentalist - buying and driving a gas-guzzling car, upstanding citizen - murder. At the end of each verse, the singer says "cost you to keep me quiet!" Basically making the singer no better than the corrupt people they describe, because they want money in return for keeping their dirty secrets. I hope that helped!

i feel like this song grasps onto you and pulls you down with it till the end and you feel enchanted by the music so you continue to listen to it but you make a mistake and you cant ever stop listing to it and you claim it as your fav song forever this music caused me a headache but i couldnt stop listing to it so its kind of like a syren trapping you in her love net
