Hecker was Revolunionary Leader in Germany. He wanted Bavaria to be a Democratic Republic but it didnt worked as he thinked. But lets remember him as a Freiheitskämpfer!

Little correction, he wanted Baden to be a Democratic Republic, not Bavaria. But he probably woudlbt have minded if Bavaria was too 😉
