The original is a Finnish folk song from the 1920-30's, the Japanese version by Hatsune Miku came out not to long a go, only a few years back. The original has actual words, but when the nico nico producers tried to make Miku sing it, it came out as gibberish.

No she didn't. She came out on april first and people quickly thought she was a new Vocaloid even though she wasn't and she's a UTAUloid which is a free software anyone can download. Besides if Teto was a real Vocaloid they would have brought the software back into there lab place things and made it more high qualty so she wouldn't sound all robotic-y like the other Vocaloids.
