I first heard this song when my best friend Ezra sang this to me. My parents were divorcing and I know it's because I wasn't a boy even if my mom never told me. My dad wanted a boy to take over his company one day and since I was a girl he left us without even giving my mother a chance. I still remembered the day I saw her crying in her room,I had never seen my mom cry before (or Maybe she does but not in front of me) but I that moment I felt useless and hated myself. I brought her pain and it just made me mad at myself even more, at one point I was close to killing myself and that was the first time Ezra was mad me. He shouted at me and told me that "if I killed myself it won't make my mum happy and that it will only break her" that was the first time I realized suicide isn't the answer. Two weeks later Ezra called me to my patio and sang this song for me, I was literally crying 😢😢 as he sang. This experience taught me so many lessons. 1) Suicide doesn't end pain, it just transfers it to another person. If I had killed myself then my mom would have been so shattered and I won't be able to be happy even if I was in heaven cause I know I was the cause of her misery. 2)you shouldn't let people dictate your life for you. I know getting out of depression isn't easy but you should try to at least be the best you can be if it's not good for others leave them. In life you have to lose some to gain more, throw the negative people in your life away and welcome the positive ones, the ones who you know that will stand by you even when you're wrong And last but not least (My favorite one) 3)If you are good know that all those people who hurt you will one day mess themselves up and if you are lucky God will let you watch😁😁. And to anyone learning from my experience you should know that no matter how depressed 😔, suicidal, damaged, hurt, worthless, useless you think you are there's at least one person in this earth who thinks you're amazing 😍🤩 and totally awesome 😎. I'm 13 my sisters are kidnapped. I had two fathers that I can remember. I almost had surgery because one of my fathers was drunk and said that I took a pill that was a lie. My second father was the one that kidnapped my sister's. My meme was helping him. And left me and my brother outside alone after cleaning all of the apartment. That is when our neighbors found us. I know this is a late comment but I wanna say thank you, I truly mean it. A friend of mine on discord received news that her friend attempted, I was trying my best to comfort her. While doing this I talked her through breathing exercises and a 5,4,3,2,1 method for (I think) it was anxiety attacks. This helped a bit but what helped her the most was me being there and I sang this to her, it truly worked wonders for her breathing. It helped her a lot and has helped me in the past. I was lucky to have remembered this masterpiece when I did, thank you.

It just kind of hit something inside me and I just started a slow cry. And I tried playing it again to see if maybe I was just not used to it or something but I just started crying again. I don't really know how to describe it.....but it helps me feel better in a way that the people around me can't do.

Yah know, even after I can't feel the emotion in songs anymore... I can still cry to this. I don't know why this is, but I always have to do my best. I have to make sure I pass state testing, driver testing, black belt testing & make sure my own students pass their own test within the next three-ish months and I'm kinda falling apart. I don't know why, but all I've ever wanted to hear is that I'm doing good, that they're proud of me, that it truly isn't my fault. Instead, I learned that I can't accept help because that's just a form of pity, that I'm such a failure I need someone else to help me. I'm getting passed this, but I still fear other people seeing my mistakes and feeling the need to help me. It scares me. I might've not received the most traditional childhood trauma, but I feel the effects of it every day. And ironically, it is my fault, I did traumatize myself, somehow. I'm still reflecting on it, trying to figure out when this happened. Where the time went, why I don't have the time to daydream anymore, why nowhere feels like home, why I can't talk to people, why I feel addicted to stress as much as success. Why I can never let myself rest easy. If you're reading this, then you're probably listening to this song for the same reason I am. So, from one stressed perfectionist to another, stay safe. Take a second, as you are, to grab a drink of water, maybe step outside where no one can see you, and just breathe in the air with your shadow. Yes, you're probably under a time constraint right now, but so am I, and I'm taking the time to write this out and let you know, that you can take five seconds to relax in a safe place. When you come back, keep breathing, we're all proud of you
