well I plugged ori ori in google translate and one of the things that comes up is "sink or swim" the rest is obvious "give me glory" "sing my story" "all hail the god of war" and the rest is about killing someone in battle. The reply about it being a medieval battle is fair as that's what the music video depicts.

First he's either not a human, but a divine or just some powerful creature that wants to make a deal with the first person for owing him his life and soul (I guess that soul = life in such kind of deals right?). Second he's a crossrodes daemon or even a Devil himself that come to first person calling him for help in very bad kind of situation (either it's illness or battle with great danger for his life, which is I suppouse the second, because as we hear, the demon tells him to invoke [write?] his name with sword, that only warriors and knights can have in middle ages) for, again, making a deal. Now the first person sings "Ori, Ori!" which is a light, yes, and that makes me think that it's the second version with Devil in main role. Because as the Bible says Devil aka Lucifer was an Archangel, but the God overthrow him for bad attitude towards Adam and Eve. And so, even though he WAS an Archangel once before and now using much of dark magic and tricks, he still have his "light aura" or something like that, idk many about holiness. In some books and stories he even acts as a savior and one that will "clean Earth from evil". There's one other thing that makes me think like that: it's the "I'll watch the demon rip your soul" part, which tells us that this someone is HAVE the demons in possess and they will take the first person's soul to Hell, where they will do what demons shouls doing in Hell, yea. About the part of "hailing the God of War", I think that Devil will give that guy such big power, that he can be called "God of War" among the people. That's all.
