Three years passed by, and all of a suddenly this song played in my head... I've come back to this video, listening to this song, thinking about the sad and bad things that have happened in my life. I've accept all of it and moved on with memories of things that break me and remind me that I may still be broken. Although this song is about another person putting all of the pieces of a person back together, I have no doubt but to say that I have nobody in my life to do that to me. The lyrics are intentionally written to be abstract and vague because in this era of music (the 2000s) it was looked down upon to enjoy religious music. The original song was released in 2009 and is on their "End of Silence" debut album. Pieces & Breath into Me are the 2 most popular songs on the album althought my personal favorite is Already Over. Red's sound is noteworthy because they have the typical rock instrumentation of an electric guitar, bass guitar and drums but also incorporate a grand piano and a backing string quartet (2 violins, 1 Viola, 1 Cello) into many of their songs. The strings are what really sets Red apart from rock bands in their era, it is a core aspect of their sound and its what most people point towards on why they enjoy their music so much.
