My mom was one of these girls. She was a cheerleader captain, she worked, and had 2 cars. Everyone expected her to be a trophy wife, but she wanted to be a doctor. No one except her best friend knew her mother was a violent alcoholic at home. She cried but she said she did turn her tears to diamonds and it made her stronger. We all go through hardships for a reason, and they are what makes or breaks us. Those in a difficult home situation during this time, I wish you all the best and hope you find something to pull you through because you are strong enough and the world would be worse without you.

My mom was a power athlete that people looked up to. She graduated with amazing grades and was planning on going into nursing school. She later met my dad when her car broke down and him being a mechanic, offered to help. They got married but on her honeymoon, she fell ill. She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Still, my mother persisted and had me. Then her father died of the same disease that she has. Still, she persists now being diagnosed with two other incurable diseases. Then she had my little brother through a pregnancy that nearly killed her. But even now she tries. I deal with suicidal ideation, but not wanting to be another emotional burden I don't go through with it :)

If you pay attention to the lyrics... it's a about a pretty girl, everyone wants to be her. But even though she's pretty and everyone thinks she's perfect... She still struggles with her life... but it doesn't mention that she has depression or something, but it does mention that her dad died in the lyrics... and now she has no one... or no one to talk to? I don't know. But the lyrics says she'll trade her beauty for a whole heart. Meaning that the girl is beautiful but she has a big struggle in her life. *Moral of this song: don't judge a book by it's cover, just because someone is beautiful/rich/has friends and parents/etc. Doesn't mean that the person is happy... that person might be struggling in life than you thought.* *Just like in the nightcore. The girl is pretty but she struggles with her life, then her dad died.*

This story reminds me of my story. It all started when I was 4. My dad got hella drunk and he got in a car crash. When I turned 8, he went out to drink again. But this time, he cheated on my mom. My mom got very broken and turned to me. I was there for my mom, so I tried to be perfect. I abandoned all my friends and bullied them. Just so I can get all the power. I dressed as best as I could, and I wore good makeup ALL the time. I wish that never happened. Now I’m depressed and hurting myself. I miss all my friends, and I’m suicidal.

I'm not handsome as the male I am. Now I imagine that it was the other way around and boys were to use makeup. What would I be thinking? The following, "I'm too ugly to be seen in public, god I'm glad that wearing makeup as a boy is a stereotype, if it wasn't for the makeup I wouldn't even be outside". Now a person with such a problem should find a better solution than a kilogram of cosmetics.
