One of those songs that are just brutally honest. People have tried to elevate humanity since our inception beyond that of our animal counter parts without good reason. While we might be able to create more things than normal animals, we're not any better in terms of our morality. We all hide our dark side from others, but it still exists. I doubt this song will ever lose relevance when describing human kind.
@jiangjun89064 жыл бұрын
Kinda hilarious that I desperately wanted to grow up as fast I could, and then I'm here, wishing I could go back to that kid who knew nothing but simplicity and happiness. When one grows up, so does your eyes. And you break, as each lie, each dream, each fantasy you've built crumbles. Our world... We were never truly at peace.one country lives in comfort and its riches, another in poverty and war stricken. What a double-standard world we lived in. We were no better than animals.
@zerogrim38624 жыл бұрын

That's degrading to animals. Animals only kill for survival, but all kills that have occurred among the human race were for things like war, pleasure, etc. Except for dolphins, who just so happened to have higher intelligence among other animals. Coincidence? I think not. And humans have the highest intelligence among all of the species on this planet. Don't quote me or anything but... Higher intelligence = higher capacity for cruelty? I'm sure there are some other variables, but there definitely seems to be a correlation. Well, that kinda got off topic.

We shouldn't deny the bad, as we shouldn't deny the good. Besides, people can be just that, bad, without any pitiable background or anything. And besides, pitiable doesn't equates forgivable. A lot of people are loosing faith in it and then you have people that want to take thing in their own hand and even if their intention is good... It can cause chaos and chaos make us savage. if humans are savages then there is nothing that is not. some say you can delay the inevitable but it is after all inevitable, however some things CAN be delayed forever and saying such things are only to differentiate between meaningless differences. humans created the definition for savage and can freely define it. they are not controlled they are self improving and self organizing and thus are more advanced than any other so called "refined" race due to their own ability to change themselves. everything has some reason or another and when everyone ignores the collective facts and causes and only blames the result is the real problem.

@@nemo-chan9252 "yup,if we see way back there was war and all kinds of murder..There is nothing good with humanity it never was....im just a production of murder." If we see way back, we see how humanity acted more like the rest of animals (considering how a larger fraction of deaths were war in the past). Wars, discrimination, murder; humans are amateurs at it compared to many members of the animal kingdom which have been doing it for millions of years. Yet with our technology we are the most capable creatures of war and murder; even compared to humans of the past; but now we have such a small fraction of us die to murder and wars have been decreasing in frequency as time progresses. Humans get such a bad reputation; but a reputation that is far worse than what we deserve. Most people just don't realize just how brutal the rest of nature is; and just how miraculous we are; with so much ability for death and violence that there is relatively little compared to what you should expect. Although I guess that is in part because we are terrible at realizing how little there actually is; our mentality is so fixed on finding outliers and with communication showing outliers from everywhere, we mistake the outliers as far more common than what they are. People feel as if humanity has been getting more violent when in reality we have been getting more peaceful.

Joseph Burchanowski Wow..Yea i guess your right!Sorry this song just got in my head and i have really low self esteem. I mean just now we have come together and allowed people to be unique!Like for example Gays and blacks,back in the days they were abused.So we are living a far more better life.
@shadowgriffin96006 жыл бұрын
This is true. We came from a generation of animals, some act like animals. We've evolved to this part of life and this is very accurate to our society today. "Were we born to abuse, shoot a gun and run?" Honestly, we aren't. We learn from behavior of who watches us. They have the biggest impact on our lives.
@lightyguy25465 жыл бұрын
So is informal social control leading all human behavior? No, it can be influent, but there's no link between that and genetic o systematic instincts of mankind. So go on and be a Durkheimian sociologist... Maybe that most of human behaviors are induced by social education? Maybe... but we don't mostly learn from the behavior of those that see us acting, we in fact learn from social interaction. If a bird, or a cat, looks at a human and fear it... does it means humans are meant to be feared? No kiddin', it works if the changes in the behavior of other animals impacts us, because if it doesn't it's absolutly uneffective at changing the way that the overwatched people act like. If you think that 'some humans', and only 'some' of them, are acting like animals, let a biologist tell you that you can't be human and act unlike an animal : as we are humans, any of our actions is 'animal alike', from the best to the worst behavior we have. If those acting 'unlike animals' are supposed to do better things anyway, those can't be neither animals nor humans... It's pure logic. Born to abuse - let's say we're all born 'uneducated', so we are all meant to be abused and then abuse someone else without sometimes figuring out that this is the case. No human is born with a full set of skills to determine what could be considered an abuse in which way. Drop your rattle, that's already abusing the gravity and the one that pick the rattle up. Shoot a gun - so did you never ate meat? Cows, lambs, goats and pigs are mostly shot to death so you can eat them ; shoot a gun is killing, so if we are meant to kill other animals because of juvenile indoctrination, or more simply because we can eat those, we were meant to shot a gun. And run - because most human stories end like this ; you have better survival changes fleeing a deadly threat you can't fight by yourself, like a military dictatorship or a repressive and fake democracy, because that's the way it is. If you exist (and especially if you ain't a native american), you had the chance to be born because your ancestor fled when they had to, there is no cowardness in that... only survival instinct, the matter of the fear its perception (anticipation of pain cogs, etc). Humans are made of fear, consider it to be fear of your fellow 'animal acting' fellow human, but if you avoid it then that would be the same thing as running away from it. Nature of mankind resides in genetic, ressources and surroundings : if there were no humans living but you, anything could end up replacing the social control that humans once made, so what have the biggest impact on ourself is the world, not the counsciousness of the other humans living in it. Peace.

You could also just ask them if they've heard of anyone who had to be taught to misbehave as a child. By default we are selfish and that is just part of our nature. Learning how to be better takes a lot of time and work. We aren't perfect, we're inherently sinful that's literally the Bible's starting preface (mankind is disobedient and selfish).
@xxxxcxxxc69175 жыл бұрын
No living being can be pure - except plants- because even if it's a being who only eats plants (for example a cow). They still kill the plant because they eat it (correct me if I'm wrong. I'm sure there are people who know better since I'm only just a child). It's the same for other animals who eat meat and of course for us humans. It's sad that we can't change the fact that living beings die because even if we don't eat meat, a plant is also a living being. When humans talk about murder they only refer to murdering other humans but they don't take into account that other living beings die every day because of us. We don't have to kill in order to be pure because we simply can't be pure. This world is rotten. I'm not trying to sound depressed (I'm not) but I wanted to say what I think.

However high minded and proud humanity wants to be, there are things that we can never deny. Animals are animals because they need to survive and so have no concept of morality or guilt. Humans on the other hand, thousands of beliefs, mental constructs and principles that we use to elevate ourselves only to realise we are masquerading or hiding the truth of the matter. Song is great and the art captures it so well. Props to you.
