Joel slowly lowered himself to the ground, his wounds stung like fury, blood dripped down his arms. Scarlet looked down at him with a smirk. "Good boy, now do as you're told," She said in a sweet scornful voice, clearly enjoying herself. He burned with resentment, her betrayal fresh in his mind. He raised his head and looked directly at her eyes, she looked triumphant. "You...." he felt his heart beating steadily. "I know you never liked me, but, why this...?" He felt his anger rising to the surface. Her eyes widened for a moment, then she erupted into laughter, a chill went down his spine. "Ha! You're dumber than I thought. I thought it would be quite obvious what my motives were." Her eyes glowed, she continued. "I learned years ago that dreaming is useless, it only leads to more pain. More suffering. More loss." She said bitterly, "I knew this when I joined the outcasts. I thought maybe I could find people who understood... ME!" She spat the last word out furiously. "And guess what, I did. I found friends there, we were SO CLOSE. We went through thick and thin together. I thought nothing could ruin our bonds, but I was wrong." She stepped closer, "When you arrived, I thought nothing of it at first. But then you shared your stupid ideas, making amends with the other side! What an idiotic dream!" She laughed again, He flinched. "Thats not all, somehow you also managed to turn all of my friends against me, they started believing in the idea of peace, of ending all the wars." He saw her neckless flash in the sun, the crimson light blinding him for a moment. He turned away, unable to listen any more. He felt her hands grab his collar, "no.." she was shaking, her breaths coming rapidly. "I'm not letting you go, im.. going.. to.. kill.. you..." She dragged the words out. Her eyes were filled with murderous intent, he froze. She smiled wickedly like she had an idea. "No..." She whispered, "I have a better idea," Scarlet paused momentarily, he watched her pull a knife from her pocket. She raised her arm then slowly moved the blade slowly towards his face, stopping only centimeters from his eye. "Maybe I should blind you, so you can be trapped in unlimited suffering, you'd be in darkness." She moved it closer, as if trying to taunt him. He looked at her calmly, all his fears vanishing in a single moment. "Do what you wish to me. But just so you know.." His eyes flashed dangerously. "If you hurt my friends again, I doesnt matter if I'm gone, I'll find you, and you'll experience pain of which you could never dream of," he said quietly, she looked at him furiously. "WAS THAT A THREAT JOEL!?" she shrieked, losing her last shred of self control. "THATS IT! YOU'RE DONE!" He saw her arm come down. He felt Pain, blood, sadness, fury and deception. 'I'm sorry guys...' he thought. Images flashed in his mind, memories, they were fading slowly. The pain disappeared slowly as he fell deeper.... falling.. darkness.. nothing... “How is he Eric?” it was a girl's voice, she sounded worried. “He’s had severe damage to his eyes, I managed to save the left one, but I’m not so sure about the right, I doubt he’ll ever be able to see from that eye again. Other than that, he has some minor injuries that should heal in time.” It was an older sounding man, Joel continued to listen as he comforted the girl. Neither of them sounded very dangerous. 'Where am I?' He wondered. He started to feel his surroundings, he was on a bed, definitely, with blankets on him. He could feel something covering his right eye, as well as other bandages covering his arms and legs. 'What happened? The last thing I remember was scarlet attacking me after the building collapsed, how did these people find me? Who are they?' He opened his left eye slowly, there was a mixture of blurry lights, he winced as he tried to lift his head. “C'mon Joel, you’ve got to get out of here.” He whispered aloud. He looked to the side to see if the people were still there. They were gone. Slowly, he heaved himself to a sitting position. Dizziness washed over him as he struggled to stay conscious. Images of his friends flickered through his mind. 'Rachel, Harvey, Kaia, Cana, sophie…' the names echoed through his head, filling him determination. Grabbing onto the nearby bookshelf, Joel pushed himself off the bed. His arms nearly gave way as he tried to support himself, he started to panic as he gripped on to the wood for dear life. 'Jeez, pull yourself together, you can do this.' Aiming for the door, he began to half-drag his body, his legs feeling like they weighed 100 pounds. It only took a few small steps before Joel stopped suddenly, he had reached the end of the bookshelf, bare wall seeming to stretch out for miles before him. He sighed. 'Well what do I do now?' He decided to risk it, he slid his foot over a couple inches, extending his arm, he prepared to grasp the corner that would direct him to the doorway. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” a voice sounded from across the room. Imagine a girl in her knees as people are dying around her then she gets up and runs with her mother. Then her mother dies and she looks at her mum with wide eyes. Then she turns to face the person that is killing everyone and the ground around the girl cracks and she summons s legendary sword and has an epic battle. And with the finale blow she wins with tears in her eyes as she falls on her knees and Cry's for her mothers death. And she vowed to always do what she can to protect others no matter what. A young girl, Runs away from her home. Her heart pumping. Not knowing the battle that was arriving in the near future. She finds a forest, A full moon with cherry blossom trees, Her hair is blowing in the wind with the leaves in the trees. She walks around for a while, Then she finds a dragon skeleton along with a sword. It had a white blade and a golden handle along with the same golden color for the outlining of the blade, She picks up the sword and hears footsteps, They get closer and she prepares for an attack. Her heart starts racing, And her blood is running. She sees 40-100 people, In black and silver armour caring gold. They yell and the fight begins, She got surrounded. Then remembered the blade she dropped when she saw the assassins. She yells at them “We can be heroes! Everywhere we go! *We’re unstoppable.* “ Then runs for the sword. She beats the assassin sword getting the sword, “KEEP YOUR SILVER! GIVE US THE GOLD” The assassins yelled at her then ran to kill her. “There’s a moment, Where the battle gets closer!” Her mind told her. “They can say what they want now!” She screamed at them. Standing on top of a tall rock holding the sword to one of the assassins chin. He goes to try punching her leg so she’d fall off. But she kicked his arm as it got closer, “Keeping us down won’t make a difference!” She yelled at him then proceed to hit his head with the sword. The dragon awoke and helped her. She realised that the sword was the dragons spirit and awoken the dragon from the dead. Every assassin expect the main one ran away. The last assassin had silver armour, A red cape and golden exterior to the armour. “Give me the sword! And NO ONE gets hurt.” He yelled at the young girl “Keeping us down is impossible! BECAUSE WE’RE UNSTOPPABLE” She yelled at the man as his eyes dilated. Then a battle proceeded. “We can be heroes! Everywhere we go!” She screamed as the assassin dodged the sword. “We’re unstoppable” her mind told her, Her heart pumping and blood racing. “Keep your silver, Give me your gold!” She yelled. She looked over at her dragon teammate. With determination in her eyes, She nodded at the dragon then looked back at the Assassin. She yelled at the assassin “Keep your silver, Give me your gold! Keeping us down is impossible! We’re unstoppable.” The assassin gulped. His eyes dilated, she could sense the fear in his soul. “Never!” The assassin yelled. He ran straight towards the girl, The dragon hit him with their tail, And the final assassin went flying and landed in a river. The girl walked towards the river and looked at him. “Keeping us down is impossible. Because we’re unstoppable.” She whispered to the man. The dragon and the girl flew into the night. As they flew away, The girl felt a sense of relief. She looked at her pendant. It was her mother’s before she had passed away, Her father began to abuse her. That’s why she ran away. She knew there was assassins. She trained for years how to fight, Then on the 15th of April. Her birthday. She ran away. -That’s the story of the young lady and the dragon.- The End
