I just re-watched this video, now that I actually live in Korea (I've been teaching English here since March. My dream has come true!), and I love that I actually recognize all of this now. But there were a few spots I haven't tried yet, so I'll have to check them out. I absolutely loove Hongdae! The street performances are my favorite part. :D I just eat Monster Pizza, drink milk tea, and watch random people's performances all night.

One of my favorite things about Seoul is you give directions there like we do where I'm from (I'm from the Caribbean." In Texas, where I live now, you go by streets and numbers, where I'm from it's "go down that street our cousin lives on, past the Chinese restaurant, take a left by that tree we get the mangos from" and so on. Seoul is quite similar and I love it.

Seriously, I'm so glad you made this video! I came back from Korea and arrived in Sydney last Friday and I've been missing Korea and Hongdae so much! I lived in Hongdae for a month and it really felt like my true home. I've been crying heaps and watching this video made my week ! I wished I went to korea after watching this video!!! I lived in a hostel around Hongdae while I was in Seoul last December and I went around discovering the place pretty much by ourselves (with a couple of other friends). At first I thought it was kinda far from downtown, but despite being situated more towards the west, Hongdae brought a unique feel to my seoul experience having been to Korea 3 times thus far. Last thing, there's really LOTS of young people there too!

I was just in Hongdae all last week at there is always something to see and do! But there were no Kebab stands out yet, those are great after getting out of the bars so late. Also, get the sweater Martina!!! I really want to move to Seoul after I finish here in Jeju!!!

In Utah we have something similar to the dipping sauce for the squid except it is already mixed together (mayo and ketchup). It called fry sauce in Utah because you eat it with French fries.

Like @LeslieReyes said, ketchup and mayo r mixed together to create pink sauce. Here in the us, I see it a lot for seafood dips. I personally love dipping butterfly/popcorn shrimp in it. Delicious!
