song band was playing at "get high" bar very famous by group "silly fools" transliterate ไหนว่าจะไม่หลอกกัน "nai wa ja mai lauk gan" in thai mean why do we deceive ourselves. beer girls job is to encourage customer to buy more beer and can drink with you. her drink comes from your normal priced beer and it is not an expensive lady drink like at hostess, gogo bar. likely she will not turn down a cash tip after sitting with you and i am surprised she asks for 750 baht/hour to sit with you. maybe bar policy or her money grab idea as you are non thai. the times i have gone to big hostess bars have been to visit / jam with thai musician friends. i buy some large beers at good promotion price , extra glasses and send them to musicians. IMO paying to sit with the girls is a diminishing returns option and a waste of money. in places like that you can meet normal middle class people and even girls not in the game. nomad tv captions are funny, like every girl dreams about him. i think he must resemble brad pitt

Gold diggers on the other hand normally use the pretense of a relationship to gain resources from a man when she does not really care about the man or relationship. They normally fake like you to get your money. Many Thai do this but not all and anyone who truly does believe that is very ignorant and lacks understanding of the world. These are stereotypes that have some basis in truth but not absolute like with any other stereo type with any other groups.
