Measles is highly contagious because it becomes airborne and lingers for hours. I got measles and the fevers were so high I almost died and have vision and hearing loss due to measles. I had my kids inoculated so they wouldn't suffer, perhaps die, and to protect two of their precious senses: hearing and vision.

I almost died in '56 from high fever. Recovery took over 2 months. There was no vaccine then. Any parent who doesn't inoculate their children is a public menace.

You cant hold a bar responsible for over serving when someone is pub crawling. That person may have had multiple drinks at different bars before they even get to the one that sold them the "one drink too many." This is how many people avoid an over serve cut off anyway. And when someone is 6 foot 7, they may have the body mass to metabolize more alchohol than the usual person. Making it harder for a server or bartender to spot warning signs like slurred speech and balance.

Measles, I believe, was almost made extinct a few years ago thanks to immunization efforts by the World Health Organization. Somewhere in Asia, they were zeroing in on one of the last measles hot spots in the world when it got derailed by a war. Before that, a simlar drive to eradicate smallpox took decades but did suceed. What a shame to come so close to complete eradication, and now to have measles resurface in our own front yard, when so many American children are unprotected.

I walked from Maxie's to the Radisson in Colonie New York completely inibriated. I remember seeing the Radisson Hotel sign saying to myself "not that far, it's just a few blocks away". It must have been between 28°/33° that morning(left around two in the am) just wearing a thin long sleeve and t-shirt and jeans. I don't remember walking through the lobby nor to my room. Woke up to the sight of puke on the walls and bathroom floor. If you see a friend or even a stranger that far gone, help them out. It's not cool to walk or be alone in that state. Prayers...
