As for those pelvic exams, I say we find the doctors that think it's OK to perform the exam without convent and make them volunteer to be examined by the student doctors. If it's not that bad, they should have no problem with being put under and having someone poke around their pelvic region. Doing a detailed exam on someone's junk is a whole lot different from the examination of someone's elbow. They need to get consent first. There is no immediate reason for the exam, no reason to put your hands or eyes down there. Dig?

Quite frankly, if I go in for one procedure, then do only that procedure. If it isn't elbow surgery, then don't inspect my elbow, don't even inspect my other elbow. The only exception would be if there are complications; for example an infection, and the antibiotics aren't working and they need to find the source. Then by all means, check my ears and any/all other nooks and crannies. Plus how hard is it to get specific consent?

I had surgery at a University Medical Center and as a healthcare professional, I never arbitrarily sign any document without reading it first pertaining to anything especially medical care at a teaching facility. The surgeon was taken aback at the changes I made and required NOT to be performed by specific persons. If you line out change sections of any contract, which is what medical consent is, you must initial and date at each change. The surgeon stated he would review the changes and bring them to the head of the hospital. My changes were accepted.

I did some research about the F-35 fighter jet and learned it has an automatic ejection system that can happen even without the pilot deliberately actuating it himself. That's why all of them are currently on a "no fly" order for now. It's similar system to one Russia installed on a particular type of fighter aircraft which proved problematic for them. The plane's computer under certain conditions can make determination to eject pilot if certain conditions are met or exceeded. Whether any warning goes off alerting pilot before that happens, or even if he can interrupt the ejection once warned, I don't know. If the ejection system on that plane can be done remotely, I also don't know. We haven't yet been told if the pilot himself initiated the ejection, or it happened due to some other means.

My ex husband supervised a lab in a major hospital in Texas for decades. It was well known that the morgue supervisor had a lucrative side hustle selling alone time with certain types of bodies. There was a lot more stuff that I heard about that was outrageous to the point that I’m paranoid now about going to a doctor or having a surgery or anything. There is a culture in these hospitals that everyone who works there knows it’s dangerous to know too much and you just keep your head down and do your job. I couldn’t believe some of the things that I found out and it is one of the major reasons why I’m divorced from that person now.

The doctors asked her if they could try a new procedure and device on her which might actually benefit her situation. Chilling stuff, but it's all true, and that's why if I'm terminal, there will be no hospital for me.

So you gave us 5% of information on this case. Sounds like you were in the ER, what was your chief complaint?

@@scottreiner1225 I'm not about to start giving my medical information to strangers on KZbin. I was under sedation for the pain, and someone came in and started doing it and I said no and use my foot to push their hand away pulling the device out of me. They then sedated me further and continued even though I had verbally said no. I woke up to two different people after that initial one coming in and doing the same thing. I said no every time. To this day I do not get that kind of screening because of the trauma that resulted. Why are you trying to justify this?
