But I still love the aot as a brand because like you said journey was great. Maybe we can see modern day aot and it could have better ending because of you know... That extra pages. Eren doesn't talk much, but whenever he opens his mouth, he speaks straight facts without giving a shit. And the way he acted so casually and happily smiling and blushing around his friends even after seeing those murderous and haunting memories of the future after kissing Historia's hand.....Eren is horrifying. it's like he's trying hide or protect his friends from his true self.

@@Zanais *SPOILERS* No it's not, the alliance made sense since the rumbling is an attempt to fix things. If eren succeeds, Paradis stays safe, and if he loses, theres a chance that his death may bring unity. The ending may not be perfect, but everything leading up to it is great.

@@justsomegirlwithoutamustache The rumbling did have its own issues, mainly cause by the retcons in 139 though. Other bad scenes tho ''Lets save the WORLD'' Annie pie scene Alliance campfire talks. Nobody can argue with me that the last 3 chapter 137-138-139 were garbage. Armin is suddenly some god who is helped by Kruger and Grisha?? Mikasa is now a necrophile. Erens character is now retconned. Eremika is also retconned, eren who showed no feelings towards mikasa suddenly loves her? They should've expanded more upon their relationship, I've always loved eren and mikasa as a couple but things just felt so rushed lmao, I'd rather have a ship become canon when it makes sense. Historia was just shadowed, they should've gave her some purpose. Tbh, the last 3 chapters were indeed good If you consider it a comedy manga tbh.

@@ShinIsTheGoat They did not paint Armin to be a God. His visions of freedom come to life through his moral actions, especially compared to the other characters. Wishing for peace does not make someone a "God." Grisha was hesitant to pay the price of freedom and Kruger's values were not explored enough to say that he wouldn't help Armin, so it makes sense they both did. The Annie eating the pie scene is a 10 second comedic relief just like the Reiner sniffing Historia's letter. Look back at season 3 where Sasha was fighting for about 3 minutes over some meat. If you can handle Sasha freaking over meat for 3 minutes straight, I'm sure you could handle 20 seconds worth of a funny moment doesn't take away from dark tone of the overall show. The alliance campfire scene uses Marco's death to start a conversation, which Marco wishes he got a chance to do before dying. If two opposing sides can never reach some sort of undertanding and reduce the deaths in war if they don't get some sort of conversation going on. It was what Armin and Mikasa proposed to Eren in Season 4 part 1, so it makes sense Isayama would expand on that method. If you watch seasons 1-3, you can see how both Eren and Mikasa always cared for each other and had chemistry. He didn't even want her joining the scouts in fear of her getting hurt and held her on his back to protect her. Eren isn't the super showy romantic type (like many people) and he broke down because he realized that he was going to die before they could live together or he could confess? Heck, maybe he realized that he had romantic feelings for her later on in the show, they don't have to be in love by S1E1 for it to be real. If you think Eren didn't have feelings for Mikasa because of a lack of "romantic moments" tell me why Mikasa told Eren that he was family to her when he asked "what am I to you"? That clearly means Mikasa never liked him romantically right? Also didn't Eren show her a future where they live together? Does that mean nothing? Mikasa only kissed Eren because she probably regretted not doing so earlier. Did you really expect them to makeout in the middle of a battle while their friends were out dying? There wasn't much of a "retcon" in their relationship considering it wouldn't be deeply explored in a post-apocalyptic show, but that doesn't mean it was never there. Historia is a strong character who stood up to her family, but she lost everything including Ymir so all she can really do is rule her country. Not every single character has to be empowered thought the end for them to be well written. The ending was realistic although I think some dialouge between Armin and Eren could be changed and Ymir Fritz being explained a bit more when mikasa talks to her. You ending haters are so nitpicky and whiny. Try to see how the ending succesfully expanded on previous events.

Maybe you guys just did not understand the themes of the story and therefore the meaning of the ending. I usually look up to smarter people than I for that. There is a lot of explanation on KZbin of that. I am fine with the ending, although I miss some sick twist when the action is over.
