Nightmare Dungeons are Greater Rifts, but WORSE

They can't fix this. The loot is pure trash. 99% of affixes are garbage. Endgame is empty, NM dungeons need a complete rework. Open world is useless and grants much less XP. Helltides are cool, but you gotta wait around for them. Every event and activity is worse because loot is bad. WHAT AM I GRINDING FOR? I would go 50 hours without even considering switching out a piece of gear. Sacred gear that's clearly better than Ancestral. Legendary Ancestral gear that's outclassed by Rare Sacred gear. Wanna make that gear orange? Pop an aspect on it and now it's Ancestral Legendary! WOOHOO! I loved D2 and D3, but I think they don't know how to fix this. They don't have the talent. They don't understand what makes a great ARPG. On a more positive note, if it wasn't for D4, I never would have found POE. Totally worth the $70 I guess?

Agree with your video, nice summary. NM dungeons are required for levelling and endgame, but feel bad and the objectives are tedious and forced. I miss GR from D3 and changing the location with every floor. The outer world is very underutilized in D4 in the endgame. Another thing, I am getting stuck on my mount behind every little thing, even the resource rock piles and any destructible in general. They could at least change it in a way to remove the object colision effect after you destroy/use it...

To me the slowest thing about nightmare dungeons is loot. If I pick up every ancestral I find I get a full stash in 2 dungeos aprox which forces me to go to town and examine all of it just to dump 99.9% of the things I found. Give us a loot filter that shows only items with sats and legendary powers that we select and nothing else so that we dont have to pick everything up and examine all of it.

The game is total trash, seriously the worst Blizzard game I have ever played. This is the first Blizzard game where the art team pissed me off, why do I get stuck on so much shit. every rock, just spinnning on the spot. Why does every dungeon have tight spaces and skinny corridors. Playing the best mobility class, a rogue, actually feels bad because dash does random shit in these spaces, my attack animation suddenly no longer works, can't move for no apparent reason. Why does this shit happen?? I blame the art team

Yeah, it really is quite a bummer. Couldn't agree more regarding the mount problems. Can't even begin to understand why a pebble in the road blocks my mount, or why my cursor location dictates my mount speed lol. Lots of stuff needs fixing and I fear it may be too late already to entice a lot of players back. Thanks for the watch! :)

Grinding glyph upgrades is not fun. I just did a level 14 dungeon and didn't even get enough glyph XP to level a glyph from level 5 to 6. My highest level glyph is about level 6 and I see no way I'll take the time to grind one to 15 unless something changes drastically.

Cursed shrines need to ditch the wave mechanic. Spawn a horde of elites that may lead to character death or some other difficult creature. There's zero consistency in wave mechanics in D4. Some are slow. Some don't even payoff. Nothing is ever worth the wait. They need to lower the duration and increase the rewards on anything that requires the character to stay in an area for that long. Maybe start boosting a character's chance at the rare unique items based on the time investment for the event. Would fix two issues at once.

Leaderboards are coming in Season 3 as confirmed by blizzard... basically the full release of the game. :) I agree the difference between tier 100 and Uber Lilith is huge, I think torment 5 will full that gap. Good video, pretty much agree on all points. Greater rifts elites definitely offer a more fun challenge before the last couple of season where everyone just became overpowered.

I hear that. Wonder when WT5 is coming. It was in the endgame beta. I remember there being a capstone dungeon called Archives of Issalia. Funny enough they accidentally put an achievement in the season 1 journey to beat the Archives of Issalia which doesn't currently exist lol. Seems to have been removed. Thanks for watching! :)

d4 is the first diablo game where im actively avoiding the endgame content. i level to 100 and do a single tier 100 dungeon just so i know i can, then i move on with my life. its sad because theres no way the devs dont know what we do/dont want. "give em the pickle"

I need gold so I pick up items but I throw a lot away because my inventory will be full. I experience a lot of tp to dc so I don't tp out unless I'm done with a NM dungeon lol. Anything above NM 50 is pointless for farming anything. Theres too much rubberbanding lag and d4 crashing for me to log on

Damn that sucks! Have you turned off Cross-Network Play? I had a lot of lag issues as well, but this fixed it for me. Options -> Connect -> Cross-Network Play. Hopefully this is helpful :)

@Gitum no I haven't tried that.. because I want to play with as much other d4 players as I can lol. I tested my theory of going to a coop event. Rubberbanded and then left tge event just to reneter and I'd rubberband again. I'm assume it's the whole loading other players inventory shenanigan

@@8thBreaker Haha yeah I thought about that too. I actually used to play with Cross-Network Play turned on. After they added the 5th stash tab, the lag got so much worse and I had to turn it off lol. If it ever gets bad enough, give it a shot. You'll still get to see other players, but only people on your platform. Cheers! :)

Have you seen the dungeon dev playing barb at lvl 50 against lvl 49 monster and dying? She just spams basic lunge attack. Clearly dont know about importance of skills and cooldown and tedious dungeon mechanics because they dont play the game. Eventually they may learn to fix it all by season 10-15 but by then most players are gone.

Regardless Diablo title you will come to a point when you ask yourself why to continue (when you are basically a God) D4 could have made some areas in the open world higher tier to keep the open world rewarding and fun trough out your leveling . Adding new tiers (5 and above) is needed forward but perhaps they should look at Genshin impact (can’t believe I’m saying that) they have refused to add higher difficulty for yers, keep adding content though.

Certainly true. I believe that most people can relate to quitting at that god point. I am a bit of a grindy person so I usually keep going, but in D4 there just isn't enough incentive. Most days I just don't get any stronger in any way after grinding for hours. Thanks for the post! :)

I really don't agree with "fast is fun". I think we will all agree that the best of the series was Diablo 2 and its gameplay was much slower. This constant explosion of numbers that Diablo 3 introduced and that Diablo 4 maintained loses people's interest very quickly.

Diablo 3 has primal gear...(max stats, but still random rolls) why not put that in for clearing t100. If a sigil has lightning storm, or suppressor i usually get rid of them and craft a new one. Barbarian have little to no ranged attacks while all others have ranged. They should also add onto the sigil what level the enemies are- having to do Level - 54 = txx. They other part they should add is World tier 5... t50+ with a level cap of 20 (basically xp farming to level up alts faster) Have gear go to 975 (plus 5/5)= 1000 Uniques are not the same level as sets. Get rid of resist on armor/ pointless perk. Which would eliminate about 30/40% of the loot drops. Item power needs a better fix/ cause some 700s out perform some 800s.
