To be honest I am shocked by the titling of this video, especially when its in all caps too. All this video showed was a buyer that made a mistake in her purchase and was guilty of a bad packaging job on the return, how in any sense of the word was this a "Nightmare"? Imagine if this was just a granny that knows nothing about tech that thought of buying her grandson a birthday present but made the mistake of not understanding that it won't work on her grandsons xbox and you make a video like this shaming her, calling her a scammer, making fun of her and suggesting we should all laugh at her. This video reminds me of some of the horror stories I used to read when I was an Amazon seller forever ago (8 years). Whether it was the lady who needed a round tablecloth and "accidentally" ordered a square one to the people wanting to return items long since out of return period (including worn out sneakers) it made me chuckle and just shake my head at times. The worst part is so many sellers on those forums had the "refund and move on" mentality which just enables people like that to keep abusing returning stuff outside of the return period and who make "mistakes" regularly and makes them expect that everyone will do the same for them.

As a 30 year letter carrier I’ve re-taped many of packages that aren’t sealed correctly or have become unsealed during handling. Most carriers do this before delivering the parcel no matter whose fault. I’m surprised that didn’t happen.

The ultimate protection! Never underestimate the power of a good rubber band. It is not the easy money that people think it is selling on eBay. Putting up with things like this is part of the game. Hassle, aggravation, paying for other peoples mistakes (like not reading things for example.), buyer is trying to scam you the seller, etc., etc., these are some of the things that make the easy money not so easy reselling. I appreciate you doing this. This video is a great example of the dark side of selling on eBay. Folks make mistakes all the time, you should not have to pay (literally pay with money out of your pocket.) for other people's mistakes when they are responsible to pay for them themselves. Good luck franchise kicks. We all know that you got lucky this time, the scams and ignorant people out there can definitely cost you more time, money, energy than is necessary for a single cell that you could be utilizing by listing more items or other more productive necessary steps in the process of selling on eBay. I don't think this person was necessarily trying to scam you. I think it was an uninformed, lazy, cheap person that did not want to pay for his or her mistake. Most people are used to getting free shipping and free returns from big retailers and big online retailers. This is a "buyer must read the fine print about return shipping before purchasing" to see if it's still a good deal to you.

I really think many don’t read the descriptions. Now i get multiples of adds between the photo and scrolling down to the details. Even I, as a long time experienced eBay seller and buyer, feel that I sometimes need to search for the description when on a phone. Especially when there is little written. I really don’t like this pushed advertising when looking at a listing. With online sales, people want fast and little effort. eBay itself is adding extra effort to read those descriptions making poor buyers that much worse

I hear and sympathize with you, it reminds me of about a year ago I purchased a new T shirt off of eBay, and it was shipped in a Burger King sack, the same sack you get while going through the drive thru with the food inside. The shirt was in the paper sack with some scotch on it, I was blown away. Luckily with my 600+ sales on eBay I have only had 2 returns in total, but every time I sell something in the back of my mind I worry about stuff like this. Nice vid Clint have a good one

I sold a Seiko watch. I bought it new at a Seiko store. I put it on EBay for half off after a few days, I didn’t like it but it was to late to return. The buyer decided to go to Facebook and ask those experts to determine by pictures if it was real or not. I’ve sold over 500 watches so many defended me. The guy tried to open a claim before I even mailed it claiming the watch was fake. I sent Ebay my receipt. Within minutes they closed the case in my favor. I shipped the watch. The buyer never tried to return it or left me any feedback

Hey Clint, I sell on eBay. The buyer thinking she had free shipping is crazy. If you paid for shipping , you have to paid shipping if you send the item back. There are a few seller that do free shipping both ways. Bad idea. Look like the item is ok. Basically a parent trying to get something for their kid without a lot thinking or reading. I have ran into a few buyers like this.

There Seems to be a lot of packages that get messed up in shipping also at times 1 of my brothers got 1 1 time opened & product was gone it was from a retail company so Luckally they were nice & sent a replacement But sent in a stronger Box envelope type package & same delivery company My room is near door we have set up through that company & ever who delivered OT threw it down. Once I never received item so was resent & I asked to sign for it so had to that package was opened but had a sweet & Nice delivery person who waited to be sure Everything was in package. So it can & Does happen a lot to people. Tou are lucky someone did not open & take it The postal or whatever service failed too here they will tape item up for you. If you accept their terms a person can return any item within 6 months for a full refund. I chose not to take returns. Half of what I sell is in the package, once removed the price drops around 10-60%.

@CLINT ... no one is taking back Mics, Headphones or Mice / Mouse Pads because of COVID-19. There are serious health issues and concerns, hygienic, etc. Best Buy and Microcenter does not accept returns on these items. You literally can sweat ounces of perspiration into headphones over a 24 - 48 hour period if your an all day and all night gamer which, a lot of people are. If she wore these and is / was infected, cold, flu, etc. ... You might want to re-consider your return policy on these items. I was an eBay Power Seller for 2 years back in 2002 and 2004 and partly into 2005. I was actually scammed from a guying based on the US Nimitz who convinced me to ship a very expensive computer to his Girlfriends apartment. I got a charge back out of my Paypal account for nearly $2800 dollars back in 2003. I called his commanding officer who asked me to forward all of his correspondence to him and that he was seriously look into it. 2 days later I got a call, an apology and within days of that a reversal on the charge back. Very scary week hoping to get my money. There are a ton of scammers on eBay and with the fees being so high for the high-end stuff I sell, I can no longer use eBay. But it's cool looking at a 20 year old eBay account with perfect feed-back lol.

8:04 Based on the wording of the note, I think we should be blaming the post office TOO. I think that note was for the USPS worker. I think there was a line at the post office or something and the person just dropped the box office OR they had it picked up at home. They expected usps to tape the box for them. Thats where they get the blame. But usps, seeing a box held closed by rubber bands, should have taped the box! The post office at least mine would’ve taped up the box. The person likely just wrote a note on it thinking they would tape it vs standing in line and asking the clerk to tape the box for them. They will add tape free of charge at my station here in Dallas, but it’s best to stand in line and ask to make sure they do it. Idk that she’s a nightmare customer. There are definitely worse. She might be upset about the return shipping but tbh that’s why I buy items that I might return on Amazon or Walmart.com. Thankfully right now they still offer free returns.

I always check the seller's return policy. Majority of them offer free return shipping. The ones that say no returns or buyer pays return shipping make me suspicious.
