This is actually the God's honest truth! 24 attack submarines from the United States could sink a majority of the important portion of the Chinese fleet, including their 3 avtive aircraft carriers. Imagine a submarine Wolf pack of approximately 8 attack submarines positioned with 3 attack subs on either side of their naval formation and two Seawolf clans attack submarines diagonally positioned at NE to SW or vise very to the Chinese fleet position. The six parallel attack submarines would have about 24 point blank shots at the fleet's formation, utilizing tactics that would limit the Chinese fleet's ability to maneuver with scenario of Chinese ships completely disabled to maneuver creating a situation that the Chinese fleet would have to take passive maneuvering to avoid collision with their own ships, all the while the US submarines would be reloading for another large scale torpedo attack without the assistance of the two Seawolf class ships that are initially only there to provide anti-submarine warfare. Any Chinese submarines present during the initial attack would know nothing of the Seawolf submarine waiting for their response. On the event of Chinese submarines response the Seawolf submarinesb would be able to fire on the Chinese submarines protecting their fleet without being discovered. The remaining US attack submarine force would rotate their formation while firing upon the Chinese surface fleet, and the inexperienced Chinese fleet would suffer devastating losses while never being able to actually able to provide countermeasures. The United States submarine force is a underestimated advantage that can not be underestimated. The Chinese couldn't win a food fight in a paper bag. The United States could destroy the entire Chinese fleet without surface ships and starve the Chinese without even exerting our total Naval capabilities. You know we could possibly stink all their carriers before our surface fleet even arrives, and without any help from our partners. Give me a frickin break already! We actually do this shit, and the Chinese are pretenders! Come and really catch this smoke assholes! Fuck around and find out! We the American people know the taste of blood in our mouths!

Diesel-electric subs are much noisier because they can only stay down for so long until they have to surface or go to snorkel depth to recharge their batteries.. Yes But if a US, Ohio or Virginia class sub was to breach in the Middle of a China strike group on patrol. It would get their attention but that would not be an act of war.... They would definitely check on how they missed it. Turbine hydro propulsion is very very quiet. When you pour water in and you're only pushing water out, you don't have a directory of the screws of different ships, whether military or commercial. Turbine hydro propulsion the turbine would be inside of the sub. Now we're treading Waters of Red October with the cat drive. But when it's pulling water in the water itself cools the turbine and pushes it out in the rear. So there are no screws or noise to speak of. You're just hearing water for the turbines are totally sealed inside. The Red October cat drive system was based on a fluid system after it being started such as a jet engine would transfer over to a ram jet on similar purposes. Same dynamic but different in function. It's real

The Chinese Navy hasn't gone thru the paces like Russia has. China still has to experience the sinking of several nuclear subs, a couple reactor problems sending everyone straight to the bottom, and a couple where the sub had to surface.
