For part of my first college semester in '79 I had a roommate who was the most snobbish and most sadistic person I've ever met. He enjoyed telling about cruel pranks he had done to people and then started doing them to me. When one of his home town friends was coming to visit, my roommate said he thought it would be fun to drug his friend and tie him naked to a street light. This is what my roommate thought would be fun to do to a friend. I wonder how many friends he's been through. Computers were just coming into use at that time but if my roommate had had access to the technology I have no doubt he would have used it against me and/or someone else. I've said through the years that if I saw on the news that my roommate had been killing people I wouldn't be surprised. John Gacy had contempt and disdain for his victims and I can imagine my former rooommate killing people he looked down upon.

Ok, that last story really chilled my blud. I have an old lady roomate as it is and she is definitely bizarre. In one case, i wokw up from having some kind of night terror and had my face burried in my hands as i caught my breath and composed myself. When i removed my hands, my roomates face was just in front of mine while she watched me sleep. Moment of awkward silence before that scene from Beauty and the Beast took place where Belle enters the West Wing On an unrelated note, they changed the lady's name several times back and forth.

Sundowning for an elderly person is not abnormal and is actually a sign of a medical emergency and not that the person will harm you. It may be a sign that they have diabetes and low blood sugar or that they have pneumonia. People act like this when they have diabetes; or sometimes they have pneumonia. Possibly another infection. These illnesses can cause confusion, fear, disorientation in the person etc. This does not mean the person is crazy, will harm you, or is "a witch". It means they are having a medical emergency. Just call the police and ask for ambulance service as the person is having a medical emergency. Have compassion and empathy for people.
