We accidently bought a new car | TOYOTA JZX100 MARK II

In this weeks episode we bought a new car that we fell in love with In our Japan trips. A JZX 100 is truly a dream car for most car enthusiasts that have been to japan. And especially the ones that have seen the crazy nissans street drifting on the streets of Japan. Also Adam finally started his 1UZ S13 and did some street tests. And we also fixed a big issue in our Blessed E30! Grab a coffee and some snacks and enjoy this wholesome Nightride episode.

I hate being "that guy" but please - throw the wheel/tire under the pinch weld or a stand when you are under a car. There were a few times working on the mark II where you were in a position that if the jack collapsed or slipped you would be seriously injured. I built custom cars / hot-rods/ race cars for over two decades and seen three people get disabled - two nearly died because of this. Yes, it is rare - but once you witness it you never forget it. We all love the crew / content / builds - and we all get excited to get stuff done - but take the thirty seconds to throw a stand or wheel/tire under the car as a safeguard. None of us want to hear about anyone on the crew getting hurt over something so simple!

Bit of Trivia: The JZX100 came also with an NA 2j (JZX105), and some even were AWD (JZX101 I believe), and an LX100, with a 2.4L Turbodiesel! The Chaser was the only out of the three (Mark II, Chaser, Cresta) that was also available as an SX100, with a 1.8L 4banger! The rarest option out all of these, aside of the SX100 would probably be a OE Manual GX100 As for the conversion: You need to add the bushings and some bracing in the rear!

Also: Before I forget: Look into the 2PD events in japan, they were drifting these as AT's, and just jammed a cigarette pack in the e-brake release, so it won't lock, and you can actually use the e-brake as a third pedal you can smash like a clutch!

101 is the 2J one, 105 is AWD 1jZ-GE, there were also GX with AWD (GX105)

I had a gx100 we manual swapped in the US with a w55. I got alot of stuff I needed from buyee and my frie d had a gx90 mark 2 he was k swapping so we gave me a few things.

I know - I commented about this as well. I have seen three people seriously injured because of this - so it sticks out like a giant beacon when I see someone under/partially under a car with only a jack. Takes thirty seconds to ensure you don't end up disabled / unable to work on cars.

Guys I’ve built is200 with a turboed forged 1gfe. Everything on the car was removed upgraded and installed, like cusco ae86 1.5 differential. Parts are made mostly in cnc from garages in Poland, for the chassis and for the engine you should go turboing it, forged internals, bigger pistons, lowered compression with forged rods, Audi r8 coils and td05 turbo, with j160 transmission and made the 350hp, in order to have budget to raise all other components balancing the performance and have a full street drift/race car with just 1jz engine buy budget.

the rod ends from an IS200 will fit but you will need steering angle adapters since the IS200 ones are longer. The only replacement for these is X Chassis specific.

My last car was a JZX100 Chaser with a 1j gte, bet car I've ever had. You boys are gonna love the Mark 2! I replaced that after it got totalled by a girl not paying attention hit me with an AE86, but I still miss my Chaser.

Very happy with your new purchase. I would look at a supercharger kit for the 1G until the JZ swap. I have one in my IS200 and it's a totally different car. Eaton M62 is what you need and it came in some Mercedes models
