Concerning the future of drifting topic: I really feel like Aaron was able to put into words what everyone is feeling. I myself found you guys when the 1UZ S13 drifting in the woods came out, and it changed my complete perspective. Because I felt like you guys made me realize what I want to pursue in my automotive life, I got a shop, learned how to rebuild engines, built myself a drift car and learned about japanese styling of drift cars. I made friends, I built cars, I got into drifting - something that would have never happened without you guys. I love channels like LZ, but you guys made drifting RELATABLE - you made me realize that I could do it too. Thank you for the inspiration and see you in a couple of weeks in the store! :)

Drifting is still very alive today and so is the nightride channel, whether you know it or not this is the natural progression of what option video and other old school videos would have become. I think you guys really do take this seriously and want to further progress the sport with your own passion and ideas. That's really all anyone can ask for and its awesome to see others have the same mentality we all feel so deeply about no matter where you are in the world

The words used from 12:36 to 14:32 made me goosebumps. That's the true! Being a trendsetter is a huge responsibility and it's understandable only when years passes by and one day you look back and see what you've done during your long journey. I've been seeing your videos since the beginnig, i was a young sim drifter for a lot of years but never had the chance to have a real drift car cause too expensive for me and not so popular in my country (Italy) at that time, so i've taken another "road". But now at almost 30 yrs old i'm a bit tired of the bikes, so i've decided to give it a go and follow my real passion buying an RWD and starting prepping it for drifting. That's almost cause of you guys and i'm glad that i've keep following your channel. Your dedication, passion, fun and the way that you guys enjoy your life is something beautiful for me. Wish i had the possibilities back in the days, but it's never too late to start "living" again. Keep up your good work! Maybe one day i'll came to Poland to know you guys in person.

A bit of situation. I only got into drifting the last few years. I'm damned near 50 and been a car guy since 12. Always been enamored with anything with wheels. I missed the whole first wave of drifting. Just like I missed the first two waves of black metal. But these guys are a huge inspiration to keep going and find what I enjoy. My original doorway to old JDM was Juicebox. Love what you guys are doing. Keep it cheap, keep it cool, keep it underground.

That chill drifter guy at the beginning was right. I found you through the police chase V8 Miata video, and since then, I haven’t missed a single video from you. You are the reason why I want to start building a nice-looking car and hang out in a big garage with my friends. You’re also the reason why I want to drive from Germany to Poland next summer, just to meet you guys at the shop. I love your content, every single car you’ve built so far, and you guys. :D

Such a good interview. So articulate, passionate, full of great story. Regarding Aaron’s question - I think there are a lot of people out there searching for meaning and community through cars. We see a lot of crazy builds online and we think ‘this is what it should be and what I should aspire to’ and a lot of times creators don’t talk about the reality of made-for-content cars. It’s not a sexy topic. But I respect that you guys keep it real - we need more role models like you guys.

I agree with what Aaron said. For me, as an observer of you practically from the beginning when the videos were still in Polish, I see Nightride not only as a YT channel but more as a movment, a statement, a way of livin'. I'm super exited and it's freakin' inspiring to see how you guys started- as a group of friends with love for cars and where you are now, living your dream life. And Yes, among other things, it is your responsibility to ensure that drifting not only in Poland, but everywhere is perceived as a passion for motorsports and not only for those who have a sponsor behind them. What matters is pure enjoyment, and friendships developed on the way, and thats- in my opinion, is the NEIGHTRIDE way.

You guys are one of the main reason why I got my E46 and started drifting, I had always been interested in drifting because I used to watch Adam LZ when I was 15 years old but I thought that drifting was incredibly expensive to do because of what I saw on his channel (no disrespect to him) so I got into grip racing because it seemed a bit more financially viable for me (you go through less tires and the car doesn't break as frequently) but then I started watching your videos (my first ever Nightride video was Bugi's crash when you guys still had very few subscribers) and then my interest sparked again, my love for BMW's started and seeing how cool the cars looked (Polish style is goated) I was hooked! So I sold my very boring daily driver honda accord to get myself a clapped out E46 that looked like it was ready to go the scrapyard (rusty, oil leaks, blown out shocks and the clutch was slipping) at first my plan was to just drift during the winter because your videos made it look so fun and chill, after driving my first winter I fell in love with drifting and I was addicted to it, when summer came I was sad because my car is very slow (it's a 320i with an M54B22 that produced 170hp in 2003 so probably 145 now) but then I saw you guys drift the E30 and I thought to myself that there had to be a way to drift low hp cars, so I pumped up my tire pressure added way too much toe out and about -2.5 degrees of camber in the rear to have as little grip as possible and started rain drifting and got comfortable with it, I then tried drifting on the dry asphalt and with enough clutch kicks and speed I managed to start linking street spots (in mexico of course). For the looks of the car I got myself some classic Polish Opel wheels (GMC Terrain wheels here in Canada) and lowered the car a bit too much to be able to look a bit like the typical Polish bmw's, after watching Jimmy come to Poland to drift his red E36 I got myself an odesa CNC angle adapter kit and adjustable front shock top mounts because of the comments he left about the parts and I'm very pleased with the products the front end feels phenomenal and the price was very good for the great quality, seeing you guys paint your own car motivated me to do mine because it was getting pretty rusty and I didn't want the car to rot away since the floors were in good condition so I repainted it Nightride style in my garage with my dad and we did a great job! I own a bunch of Nightride merch because I think it's literally THE best merch ever made on youtube (Quality wise, style wise and price wise) and I even have an OG Kevin mug which is the first thing I ever bought from you guys alongside with a classic Nightride hoodie (I saw the evolution in merch quality) so yeah I would say that you guys are quite a big inspiration for me, every Sunday morning my girlfriend and I get a coffee and watch a Nightride video and your videos give me the motivation to go work on my car since I see you guys work so hard for what you have and it's really relatable and refreshing the see! I'm currently in the process of swapping an M54B30 instead of my good old M54B22 in my E46, so now's the time for me to go work on that and stop procrastinating! Thank you guys for great content, your sincerity and all the motivation you've given me and many others for the past few years. Keep up the great work you guys deserve every good thing that happened to you in the recent years! Big love from Canada, hope to meet you guys one day here or maybe at Ultrace!

Hi Sam, I definitely think you guys are a huge influence in the drift scene. Aaron and guys like him were trendsetters 10 or so years ago, but like he said, those times are gone. Now people like you guys are needed to pave the way for new generation. Unfortunately it wont be easy :( Aaron mentioned 1000$ cars in Japan. Now it's tough to start without at least 5000$ (in Poland), new regulations, new laws, tracks being closed... but you guys are making it work and the whole community appreciates it. Keep up the great work.

Hey Nightride Team, you probably wont be reading this anyways but imma write it anyways haha I am a 21yo from the Canary Islands, Spain, here motorsport scene had its golden era from the 80s to the 00s. Rally cars, track cars, show cars, collectionist cars, trucks, motorbikes anything you can name we have here. However over time younger generations have been losing that interest and it is sadly fading away, heck we dont even have race tracks or circuits to drift in. I always enjoyed cars ever since i was a kid thanks to my dad, but a year ago I met your youtube channel for the first time. I admired your work and all the passion and hunger you should in each video I saw. You guys keep it real to how carguy life is in reality without looking like a big corporation or something but I feel like you guys need to be the next best thing in the drifting scene in Europe. I agree with Aaron’s words, you guys truely inspired a whole generation of youth and in such a strict continent that Europe is. Us fans love your content and will support you in making this community reach the sky. Thanks again!

Hey guys, just wanted to say Thank you for every single one of your videos and everything you do... You basically got me addicted to drifting. I mean, I was really into cars before and I always knew that I want to base my life somewehere around them, but when I started watching your videos, it basically changed my life. Bought my first car (316i compact :D), started to record some videos (I really enjoy doing those and I also don't really think that I would even try to record them if I hadn't seen your videos) and Iam just having a blast of a time every time I do anything related to cars :D Really hope that I am going to meet lots of amazing people, learn to drift, have some great adventures and make my dreams (wich were really influenced by you and I'm so glad for that) come true😅 So yea... Thank you again for everything.😁✌️

I believe a huge part of people watching you will never drift a proper car on a track, after all we are the broke guys that were pulling the handbrake on our old fwd 75hp parents car when we were younger, on some rainy day having just fun and laughing. I believe this is why nightride became so big. Living it up for us that couldn’t. One love guys

btw if y'all haven't seen Aarons videos I highly suggest watching more of them, he does a lot of these deep dive talks and they're pretty good. But yeah, I do agree with a lot of what he said in this video. I left another comment on a different video where you all were working on the mark II and seeing it go from undriveable to now with cool wheels and manual and continuing to evolve really inspired me. I get that you got a pretty good deal because it was crashed but even still, it makes me want to go out and do stuff like this as well and find a community of like-minded people to do this stuff with. I've been into cars for years but never really in a financial situation to ever commit but you guys are proof you don't need like the fanciest stuff or even the best looking stuff. Just do what you can and make it driveable first then make it look pretty. This is why I find channels like this are so easy to come back to and watch the videos because it's super relatable. keep doing your thing, you all are amazing

What got me was when he said your local track 30mins away. 😮 Am in Cumbria in the UK and that's 3hrs 30 away from Driftland or 2hrs 30 away from Three sisters. Considering how much farm land ect we have around to be able to drift legally is a big commitment to been able to travel. It probably costs about £300 per drift day as s novice which I di because I love it and am lucky enough to have friends with trailers and vans but not everyone is. For me that's the main hold back

To be honest I kinda agree with Aaron. I’m from Italy and the content you share guys is pretty uncommon. The simplicity of your content is the key of your success. I hope that in the future (when I’ll have more money to spend on shitboxes) I’ll try to do something similar (even if the European regulations are getting stricter). In the end I think that social media in general could help consistently the success of drifting in Europe too.

True story - Aaron is 100% right. Influencers give their audience how to live, what qualitys should have, giving ideas how to live/deal with something. I watch u guys for a while and You got brilliant vibes! But what you showing here is what people will do because they see - look, they got followers, subscribers, people love them, I need do same to be cool 😎 That's how it works. So what u showing about drifting is what people will follow. Next level, carswag for me shows what drifting and community is about. Good stylish car, not gruz barely holding. Stupid reps war? I found you guys as I was weighing up buying a Miata, saw your videos and thought it looked sick to drive one. Now I have a Miata I'm slowly trying to build into a drift car, hopefully fitting a welded diff to it in the new year. I liked how easy you guys made it to understand why you made the decisions you did with the build, the practicality of quick releasing bumpers and stuff for maintainence work, why you run certain gearboxes and drivetrains etc. For me personally what I'd like to see now is a walkthrough or something of how to drift, like when to clutch kick vs handbrake, maybe a talkthrough of an ebisu run to explain what your doing with your feet and why. I know it would be really tricky to do but I feel like you guys would make it a really fun and easy to understand video. I love you guys because you keep things simple, just changing wheels and welding the diff on a car to start drifting it and it really helps inspire others that it's possible to do these things without a huge budget

Good morning ppl of the internets! Aaron is one of the MOST knowledgeable in the sport. Take his words to heart and hold them dearly. When you think of KZbin drifting three names come to mind. LZ, Jimmy Oakes and Nightride. You three channels are most definitely the voices of a generation for drifting. Look at the style Burst in the states with BMW’s… we’ve all went polish style whether it’s kitted with 3pc wheels or really low on OE wheels. All three channels carrying completely different vibes but all serving one goal, to further drifting. Keep the thought in your head but don’t let it shape the channel. Keep doing what Nightride does and continue to be true to who you guys are THAT my friends is what has made the world love you guys.

What can I say, you inspire people, because of your videos I'm working towards getting my own driftcar here in Uruguay and then I'll have to leave the country to work on more cars. I just need a shitbox but a 320i here (which is what I'm aiming for, e36 or e46) is about 15-20k USD... Makes it literally impossible to play here, but I'll get it and leave the fucking country to pursue this dream life of drifting everywhere, what Aaron says about keeping it dynamic and not going to the same track every weekend. I feel that. I wanna do that, and it's because of you guys...

I would say you show a lot of us a whole new car world we didn`t know at all. I'm from south america, Colombia specifically, and even I can`t have now a drift car (cheap cars here ar all fwd), I do want to drift moving to another country for a couple of months or something like that. I'm planning to go Poland in fact haha (really big fan here, from the very first videos). But even if its true you have this "responsability", I would suggest don't overthink that too much. I would say a lot of us see your videos because you're genuine, you enjoy what you're doing and are not afraid of being stupid or do crazy shit. Letting "responsability" kill that spirit would be a mistake. Just know you have built a strong an important part of the culture but keep being yourselves, that's what brought you and us here :)

There is some truth in what aaron said. You guys do something unique something that has a lot of demand, but not that many "supplier". And even tho you do it mostly for fun, and probably wasn`t your intention to be one of the influencing figures in the world of drifting, you guys grew tremendously in the last couple of years, and probably will continue to do so. And i hope that it doesn`t make you afraid, it doesn`t make you anxious these new "responsabilites", you showed us that not even fame can change you, so im hoping that you will stay true to what nightride stands for in the eyes of these 950k people, to keep drifting affordable and fun, and i hope that it won`t be a burden for you guys to do so, because while we need the stuff you do, we also want that you can enjoy the whole process too. Love you guys, and wishing you a wonderful time in preparation in the upcoming holidays!❤

Aaron’s always had a good perspective on drifting and how to make it grow. The part about you guys being responsible for the shape of it by giving example to your followers is pretty much on point too. It’s obvious that with the growth of the channel you have more opportunities and you’re gonna make more and more crazy builds but what you have shown before and are showing to this point is that the most important aspect about this whole drifting thing(and cars in general) is to have fun with it with a bunch of friends. Doesn’t matter if it’s a 1.6 Miata or a rotary Lada 😅. Keep it up guys. You are living many people’s dream and you do it WELL. ❤

I get what Aaron is saying at the end of the video, but I think the main take away should be to keep it fun, keep it light, and keep trying to do something cool. It can be easy to get caught up in how people are going to perceive what you do, but the people we grew up admiring likely weren’t thinking about that, they were just trying to have fun doing something they enjoyed. I can respect what he’s saying about trying to push things forward too, even though he drives an LS S14…

I agree with Aaron, you guys do what you want and its inspiring. Youve been doing more fancy cars so maybe a budget build breakdown of how youd set up a first/ daily drift car would be cool. keep it up fellas

sad to say, we definetly missed the peak of drifting. nobody (except for the government in some places) is stopping us from keeping the style alive, though.

so here is my opinion about drifting in europe specifically: first of all i started drifting 2 years ago. First i was going for practice and getting my skills higher, now i go for style. The problem that i see especially in germany is, that there are no good tracks that you can drive your slammed car with style. Constantly stretched tyres popping off, ruining your expensive wheels. The tracks looks like it was made in ww2 and it feels that way. The german community is very unknowledged, no style and no personality tbh. I dont want to hate the germans, but thats what my observations are in comparison to poland. I would like to change that also in germany, but the constant regulations, higher prices and closing tracks dont make that even possible. We can do streeto, but bro - once the popo has you, youre done. I would love that the drifting scene in europe opens more to the public kinda. All the organisations and drift days/tracks are kinda "underground" making it almost unreachable for new people that doesnt have connections or the knowledge. I get it, the people dont want small events to be overfilled and keep them lowkey, but i would love that europe would open to all the drifters and maybe someone will do a organisation, that they will be organising all race tracks across europe and presenting it to the people or new members who want to get started but dont know where to reach. Sorry for my english and if somebody is even reading my ass speach - this is no hate to anybody, its my personal opinion and a cool idea, how we can make drifting more open for everybody.

I 100% agree with what Aaron said about influencers in the drift community have to be responsible for shaping the culture. I'm not quite familiar with drift culture in Europe but in US the drift culture is going towards sideshow. Majority of new drifters think drifting is just reckless and the point is to be as stupid as possible and do crazy dumb stuff. It's pretty terrible and will eventually destroy drift. Ratchet increase behavior is seen at a lot of drift events and that's why tracks don't allow if there's any more. And in US particularly KZbinrs don't do anything about it.

For the future of drifting, I'd really appreciate if Nightride could go back to basics. Instead of always pushing for the most extreme builds, how about a simple, budget-friendly project like an E36 or E46 street drift car? It would be awesome to see something we can all relate to and maybe even replicate if we're looking to get into drifting ourselves.

I agree, and it's partly the reason I think it's unfortunate that sliskitemacik was put on hold, not their channel perse, but because I feel like it's more than just showing us the cars you have, but rather the people involved with it, instead of being scattered channels I think it's better to all stick together, not just you, marek, bugi and bozo, but all the friends that often appear on your channel.. it might not be financially viable I don't know, but I think having the whole friendgroup work on cars together adds to that "vibe" you guys are always talking about, and I think that vibe is a sense of community, not just for drifting, but for the car scene as a whole, which where I live is a shadow of what it used to be, you guys help give it a platform.. Fyi; dumb idea maybe, but can you not register the youtube part of the company in Germany to increase the ad revenue?

The only parts i disagree on was age and style of car. I feel like actually nowadays being 20 or 30 or 40 isnt a big deal, its about outlook and what youre into. Also style of cars, maybe with age you realise its all about what you like, take inspirations from all sources. There will always be trends, start your own
