My wife of 26 years (27 years together) May 25 of this year (after we spent a wonderful night together the night before) when I came home from work announced our marriage was over. She had spoken with lawyers and mediators and that was it. From that day to this, there has not been a day or night I have not ached, cried, and watched my world end. To the whole world it may have been nothing, but to me it was everything. I do not think I will ever get over it, time will just make me sadder and acknowledge what I have known along. She said I would be happier and better off without her, how wrong and sad that statement was. 😢

Man...those great 70’s lyrics!! “...moonlight falls like rain...” “...soft and low, the music moans...” “...NIGHTS ARE FOREVER without you...” Song writers like Parker McGee just gets it, man. And England Dan and JFC just brings it ALIVE! Awesome

Adolf & Patriotic; my ex-husband now admits that. He waited too long. I re-married 17 years ago to a great man. Now he wants another chance. My point is to NEVER take anyone for granted and be careful what you wish for.

I don't usually comment on videos like this, but I felt compelled. Many years ago, I used to listen to this song and dreamed about a woman whose face I could see so clearly. Little wonder then, that when I finally met her I knew at first sight it was meant to be. Those next 6 years of my life are now a distant sweet memory of honesty, courtship, and having all of our dreams come true. I lost my soulmate Christine when she was 32. I've remarried and finally have two children, and live 3000 miles away from my old life, Christine's dad is in the hospital tonight and may not live another day. I may have a new life, I may be far away, but our hearts are together and thinking about him. Tonight will surely be forever. Thank you for posting this, and my compliments for such a wonderfully done fan video.

Exactly! My grandpa was married to the first girlfriend he ever had since he was 20, and they stayed together for the next 48 years until his death. They're likely still in love now that they're both in heaven. While in contrast, I'm 21 and still never even had a girlfriend. The only girl I ever loved (and still love) never returned my feelings for her, and now is likely deep in love with some other dude. About the only reason I enjoy living in the 21st century is because tractors have cabs and trucks have satellite radio and USB ports; but about the only reason I need satellite or ITunes is because you don't hear a lot of 70s or 80s music on AM and FM radio anymore. Yeah it sounds like everything was better in the 60s, 70s, and 80s than it is in the 2010s (almost the 20s).

England Dan is Dan Seals, brother of Jim Seals of Seals and Croft and the Champs. After his short run with John Ford Coley, he enjoyed a successful career as a country artist during the 80's and 90's.His brother Jim tabbed him with the moniker of England Dan due to his love of the Beatles and his affected British accent while growing up.

I remember this time in the seventies going on dates and enjoying an innocent time in which we all had a strong sense of respect. Life was simple, safe, fun, and uncomplicated. The very sense of time is reflected in the music that spoke volumes of a lifestyle we have to say we did once experience as innocent and respectful.
