Ryan, I really appreciate you peppering strategy into your video of how to play. I try to provide new players with that same type of information when I'm teaching a new game. I think that type of information is extremely important.

I love your concise description of the rules, and loved the video design, layout, and visual presentation. However, the like was mostly for that delightful over the top "Shhh! It's a secret!" Well worth multiple rewatches, thank you for this!

Great over view. I would also say that the 1910 expansion is a must for this game. I always play with it. We usually play this on new years eve along with many other games.

Thanks! And you’re not the first person to recommend the expansion to me, so it must be good!
@alcovitch4 жыл бұрын
I hate the fact they sell that expansion for over 40 dollars here in Canada. New editions from a long while ago should have just had the larger cards and extra routes ages ago.

Wait. That’s the premise of ticket to ride?

(i know, right? Owned the game for 15 years, and read the front page for the first time last week)

Your channel is so underrated deserves more credit. Your videos explain things so much better than other channels.

Yup, that's a real link to Loco-motion! Loved that!

:) i wonder if you're the only person to have discovered the Nights Around a Table secret beneath the video description.

Bro the quality of the video compared to the view is just sad, like a video this nicely done should have at least 100k+ views.

That was a really great video, especially like the stop motion effects. I’ve played this game many times but introducing it to my son today he’s never played it before so we’ll see how that goes

Thanks, Marty! How old is your son?
@calboy24 жыл бұрын
@@NightsAroundaTable he’s 11 years old. Me and my husband are adopting him, he’s been our foster son for the last 10 months. We played two games tonight and he loved it. But I did catch him sneaking cards from the discard pile into his hand. Have to watch him. 👁

@@calboy2 That's wonderful! Congratulations! There IS a kiddie version of Ticket to Ride, but it skews too young for an 11 year old. Sounds like he's on the right... track.

So I can actually first draw a blind train card follow by a face up locomotive card?
@NightsAroundaTable3 жыл бұрын
No - if you draw a face up locomotive, you’re done. But if you draw a face down card and it happens to be a locomotive, you still get to draw a second card - either another face down card (which could, luckily, be another locomotive) or a face up non-locomotive card.

Are you able to discard the first two destination cards at any point in the game? Or they must be kept until after the game?
@NightsAroundaTable3 жыл бұрын
You're stuck with them!
@NightsAroundaTable3 жыл бұрын
But... if your initial tix are no good, one strategy is to dump the costliest one and hang on to two cheapies, and then completely ignore them.
