I always over looked it when listening to other QOTSA Albums but when i was at work and to busy to skip the era vulgaris songs and actually listen to them i grew to love it. Turnin' on The Screw is one of my all time favorite songs to play as a drummer. Really an a Endurance test to play the way Joey plays it and I really like how he incorporated cymbal chokes all over the song. Leading into sick sick sick was amazing hearing for the first time. I’m Designer is another favorite of mine, I just love how weird and quirky queens gets with their songs. The lyrics are fucking hilarious and I highly recommend looking at the lyrics and the music video very funny.

Misfit Love absolutely is a fan favorite, although I think the consensus is that it's better live. They used to play it at every show. Sick Sick Sick, 3s & 7s, and Make It Wit Chu were the singles, which explains the higher play counts. Also, the "synth bass" in Misfit Love is actually the bassist saying "thrill... a thrill... I need a thrill" into a vocoder. This is kind of their "industrial" album to me.

You absolutely have to give the Era Vulgaris single a listen in part 2 -- at least like at the end. That song is such a masterpiece and imo it really ties the entire album together. Legit the only reason it wasn't included on the actual Era Vulgaris album was that Trent Reznor sang some vocals on it;, around that time he was trying to leave the same record company that he and QOTSA were a part of (forget its name). It's also the titular song of the album, so that should be an incentive in all of its own.

The UK version of this album has Running Joke and then the title track Era Vulgaris as the final two tracks after Run, Pig, Run.
