We try to tell people, It's all good. All of it. I found this band a little over a year ago and I forgot what it was not to have NW. I don't listen to much else. That feeling you get when the double bass kicks in, I still feel it. Be happy, you have so much more to discover. Song of myself is stunning, Nemo is beautiful, Ghost River punches you in the face. That's indeed true. I've become convinced that Floors voice type is Spinto Soprano so she can easily give the song what it needs without going full-on Opera but the techniques used differ. Worth checking out the definition on Wikipedia.

Great reaction, again. There is a very important reason that the fans are so engaged with Nightwish and it is the emotion and messages contained within their works. Tuomas is a genius at putting across the message that he is wishing to convey and the subject matter is very rarely anything unimportant, whether it be love, family, the contemplation of suicide, the achievements of comet scientists or the origins of the earth and life. Nightwish fans are blessed by the complex and beautiful mind of (primarily) Tuomas, but the band support him in making that music the emotional journey that it is.

Great reaction, guys. I discovered Nightwish about two years ago. Actually, I had heard of them from some Euro friends about 15 years ago but I never listened. Going down the Nightwish rabbit hole is a wonderful journey, and it led me to other groups such as Kamelot, Within Temptation, Epica, and Ayreon. And in going down the Ayreon rabbit hole I discovered a German power metal band called Blind Guardian. I would love to see you guys react to their song 'Nightfall" live at Wacken 2011. Its great to hear 82k people singing the chorus. The song is from an album that they did about Tolkien's book "The Silmarillion" and the song tells how the first war of the Elves against Melkor the Enemy (Sauron was his Lieutenant) in Middle Earth.

This was a big European hits in 2002 for Nightwish. How do you like that for a radio song? Emppu loves throwing plectrums to the fans. May 7th at Lowell Mass., May 8th in NY, and May 20 & 21 in LA. I love this song. The double bass hits hard - another great song from the same album is Bless the Child. It has similar double bass dynamics. I will leave a suggestion here: maybe don't react to every single Wacken song, but leave a few "unheard" ones for when you do the whole show in one sitting? You guys could probably figure out a way of live streaming the concert. I know I would love to join and watch that concert again. It is worth it every time.

A quick note; the more recent the concert, the sharper the video quality. More modern camera equipment. For a superb example, see "Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean" - Buenos Aires 2018. Also, one of my favorite NW songs...a bit like a mini-opera, except...Nightwish. And Floor's outfit is entirely badger-stunnable all by itself.

At the end of the day it's your channel and it's up to you what you react to and in what order. Always a pleasure to see your facial expressions at certain points in songs and our sense of humour is distinctly lacking on most KZbin channels! Poor old badgers have a rough go of it! Yes we keep fiddling with scoring systems. Our ideal world is an electronic score board of some description but not worked out how to do it yet! George here, I also line those old airport notice boards where they had the numbers and letters on plaques that would click down until it read the message. Not sure how to explain it!

Nightwish have to be the best live band of the millenia never mind the year. Floor just performs to a level no other singers can match, Marco just pushes the whole thing over the top, Emppu plays what is needed, nothing too flash but perfectly placed. Jukka was a fantastic drummer and Kai has kept it up to standard with the most solid beats in the business, Troy adds a magical edge to NW that keeps them head and shoulders above the rest IMHO

This is as straight forward of a song as Nightwish has but they still manage to make it into something special. They have so many songs of different qualities that they perform live and they are all fantastic. One wouldn't think it when hearing some of their more complex songs on album but the band just gets even better when performing live. It will be a continued pleasure seeing you go through, hopefully, a lot of them.

this song put power in the body system :) i start thinking that this band not make mistakes when they playing live. i see 1 anette and 2 floor live and all youtube live video and i heard only 2 mistakes whole time. 1 marko forget one song lyrics and say curse word 2. tuomas play one note wrong tampere concert last song (many people even not notes that). thanx guys great reaction like always and have lucky new week there.

Oh, they're human and they can make mistakes... not sure if there was an equipment issue or what, but if you look up some of the fan-cam uploads from the "secret" concert in Oulu, Emppu had a definite problem in the GLS solo. Some people say it looked like one string came loose or something, others say he just got a bit lost on the fretboard... I don't know. Oh, and same show, Floor messed up in the last chorus of Noise, forgot a line or something, you could see her almost laughing at herself as she waited for the next line to come 'round to pick it up again.

Music that was written just before she suffered Her burnout. And had been laying in a box until 2017 or 18 not sure exactly what year. She picked it up and blow the dust off from it. Fun fact: Floor's hair is a registered weapon in 10 countries. True fact: Floor recently revealed this was the song that gave her some pre-show butterflies. The end of the song has her ascending the vocal ladder. She was afraid she would screw it up. Brilliant job gents. If Thamesmen Too works out, maybe consider a 3rd channel called Jason Mennings for the super esoteric bands like Clown Core. Just a thought.

It's From Arjen Lucassen ( The Ayreon dude) from his Star One album, Victims of the modern age All songs are based on classic Sci Fi movies and in this case, Planet of the Apes Vocals: Floor Jansen, Russel Allen ( president from Day the world breaks down) Dan Bavo and Damian Wilson ( ex-Treshold) U r gonna love it ( and intro to the entire album, one of the best i ever heard)

Was just getting used to you two trying to find your own way through all the songs;-) I understand the new strategie though. By the way reacting a whole concert is a long but fun challenge. Keep in mind that the shows from Wembley and Tampere are also great and in my humble opinion more interesting than Wacken (new and great drummer, Richard Dawkins as side kick, 'the greatest show on earth" as a brilliant finish). Marco has an excellent voice.. If they need some rasp, he gives it to them.. Harsh vocals, he does that too. But, if they need that smooth tenor vocal to follow right along with Floor's lead.. He can do that as well..
