Honestly, I would love seeing Troy joining the band as an official member (even though that would face several obstacles). Such a nice person and a great musician. His riffs and solos emanate feelings that are unable to be described by mere words. Absolutely amazing show from Nightwish, and I'm incredibly glad to see Anette performing better than ever! ^_^

@anirex911 I was last sunday, 4.3.2012 in Nightwish concert and I can say it was unbelieveble GREAT concert. Time fly, it felt like it took only 10 minutes even they played 2 hours. I have now seen Nightwish 3 times and this last concert was their best, Nightwish is one of the best band in the world. If ever Nightwish visit India, don't miss that concert! Unfortunately they started world tour from hometown Joensuu and it takes maybe long time they come back to Finland :-((((

I just explained to you why I like her vocal style regarding her range. But you couldn't understand that so let me break it down more. Yes, a good singer does have a beautiful voice, but so does Anette. Her head voice and low notes are beautiful and magical to listen. Her high notes shows her versatility with songs, especially when she gets that raw sound in her voice at the end of each note. Or her smoother high notes like Meadows of Heaven where it's also beautiful to listen.

I was disappointed that there was little light cast upon the piper, as his performances throughout the night were over the top incredible! I hope that he is a permanent member of the band now. What a great show!

1.-Anette does not have great technique but she has great charisma, feeling, power and i can extend the list, those qualities make her a really good singer. 2.-I don´t care who started this Anette fans have the righ to say whatever they want (just like you have the right to reply them) 3.-Tarja is awesome (Unique? eehm..) but liking her does not make you a connoisseur, and liking Anette do not make us ignorant 4.-Even though you dislike Anette you´ve been here for months (and in 2 concerts)

What makes me laugh are the "haters" who come into every single Nightwish upload just to spout off how Anette is bad, Tarja is better, blah, blah, blahdy-fakking-blah, like they believe they have an impact on what the band does or who is listening to them. If the band did not like what she brings to their music, they would not have kept her. PERIOD. If people did not like their lyrics, beats, chords, harmonies, or stage performances they would not buy the CD's, or go to the concerts. PERIOD.

Imaginaerum is nice, it includes a few of their best songs but a few of the worst ones, too (I really HATE Slow, love, slow, in my opinion it's the worst song Tuomas has ever written). Whether or not you LIKE the quality is another matter, which is my point here. Obviously you don't. I, too, saw her singing live, and she did them just properly with ALL the genres I mentioned. - Tarja is still within the classical range. She cannot, in my opinion, sing jazz, pop, acoustic, or rock like Anette can. The same can be said that Anette can't sing opera. I have listened to Tarja's new album, but she comes off as a classical singer trying different genres, which doesn't work for me.

@lynn0407escapistgirl Well tast I actually think of DPP as a "mistake" except for a few brilliant songs. Thats espcially because of the female vocals. Anette has improved a lot since that album. Slow, love, slow is very different from the others songs but Anette sings it beautifully... I dont really think there is a best album....I think Oceanborn, Wishmaster and CC are damn good, every single song; I cant choose. I also like Imaginiaerum but as a whole album it didnt blow me away

When I was criticizing Tarja, I clearly stated it was my opinion that I don't like her. It's not a huge mistake to say I don't like her style that much. My ethics are just fine. Again, personal preference. Once again the only defense you can go against Anette is she's just a 'bad singer'. But how is this fact? You sure make it seem like it is. It all comes down to this. Anette is the lead singer of an internationally known band and a great one at that to be able to reach that level. You are a self-proclaimed "singer" who is hating on KZbin videos. Yes you are entitled to an opinion but just don't act like you are better than Anette. She is a rock star. You are not. lol what on earth on you talking about? There's more validation about Anette's singing than just her being in Nightwish. First of all, her range is that of a rock singers. She can go up to three octaves. Beyond two her voice pitches to a scream almost, but to some people that's just "bad" singing. I don't think so. Her high pitch resembles closely to rock singers with a bit of rawness and a screamy tone at the end of it. Tarja's voice is smooth because she's a classical singer.

Yma Sumac was peruvian just like me, you don't have to be an opera listener to know who she is here in Perú, and as i said before this is metal/rock... the musicians do not need technique or wide vocal ranges just passion and emotion, there are many "bad" singers who are awesome (Kurt Cobain, Bob Dylan, Lemmy, Brian Johnson, Ozzy...etc) Anette may be a clumsy singer but she has enough passion to sing Tuomas songs.

While I accept that Tarja is good at what she sings, even I like a few old NW songs from her, in general I don't like her style compared to Anette. Surely you can respect that opinion which I have reiterated over and over again. Your entire argument is just based on Anette being a bad singer. Sure, while Anette doesn't have the power of a contralto or full soprano, there's still a certain power in her voice. It's not as dramatic as Tarja's, but there's this energy so full of emotion.

All right. Let me just make this clear. I understand Tarja is a good singer with a vast range. But I don't like her style or voice that much. There's only a handful of songs I'll hear from her compared to Anette. That's just my opinion, and no one can change that. I'm not here to change yours either. I'm just here to say why Anette is a good singer compared to your original point being that fans like her simply because she's in NW. Her voice is magic to my ears.
