I'm 68. I first heard a song called "Wishmaster" on a metal mix I had on a streaming application called Jango in 2005. I was intrigued and had to find out what band authored it. After finding out it was a symphonic metal band called Nightwish, I searched for and purchased several CDs and eventually the "End of an Era" DVD. I was brokenhearted when I learned Tarja had left the band. I still listened off and on but ignored their offerings featuring Anette. I rediscovered them in 2014 when Floor's version of "Ghost Love Score" started popping up all over KZbin. I have now since increased my CD and DVD collection of them. I like Floor as lead singer the best, but enjoy all versions of the band now.

I got my first Floorgasm when Floor was on the Dutch TV show 'Beste Zangers' in 2019. I googled her and found Nightwish and her old bands 'After Forever' and 'Revamp'. I was totally no 'metalhead', but now I can't get enough of this 'Symphonic' version of it. I am 63 and live in Utrecht, The Netherlands.

As a 61 yo (then) discovering Nightwish in early 2020 through reactors, I realized they fill a void in my musical soul that I didn't know existed previously. I was never a metal head but NW takes the best of multiple rock/metal/Keltic/sea shanty/symphonic-orchestral genres to create their own genre and I am all about that! Side note, I would love it if you increased your music video volume a tad, thanks. Enjoyed your reaction as always guys!

I'm 57 and started watching them and reactions in 2018. My son is into Sabaton and mentioned Floor is married to their drummer and to check out her band. The first 100 times hearing many of their songs actually made me cry tears of joy and Floorgasms that no other vocalist could do and I have never stopped listening to them since. My son plays the cello so we both liked the symphonic metal that is Nightwish!

Hello, from Florida. I started watching/listening to Nightwish about two years ago and I'm currently 66. Nightwish has a wide fan base that is in all measurable ways an Army. haha. I just happened to stumble upon Nightwish by watching another reactor. I can't remember who, but it changed my life. Have a great day.

I’ve just turned 60 and have been a metal head since my early age. I got exposed to the greats such as Deep Purple Led Zeppelin Heart ACDC Judas Priest KISS etc A year ago, one midnight when I could not sleep I was scrolling KZbin on my phone and came across a Father Daughter Reaction to a song . Till then I did not know what a reaction even meant. I thought let me check this. It was a band called Nightwish playing a song called Storytime at a venue called Wacken. What also caught my eye was this tall lead woman singer in the band OMG. I was totally blasted out of this planet with what I was hearing and witnessing. I went and find my wife in the study room who does not like metal music and told listen to this. She loved it. And the rest is history. Till today I have not been emotionally affected by another band as is with Nightwish and Floor Jansen

I'm a 69 yo man from Arkansas and discovered Nightwish around 4 or 5 years ago. I was watching television and a commercial came on that had a snippet of "Walking in the Air" playing that really caught my ear. I used an app on my cell phone to listen to the song that said it was a band called Nightwish. After searching KZbin and listening to their music Nightwish became my favorite band of all time. I don't believe there has been a day gone by since finding them that I have not listened to Nightwish. I have got just about all their albums and they and Floor are at the top of my playlist on my music app.

61 years old ,( 63 now) when i heard them for the first time and i was blown away, so many emotions, i cried, had goosebumps ( floorgasms). Mornings for me; get a cup of coffee and listen to Nightwish , such a nice group of people, no ego's in Nightwish, great musicians (including a composer and poet) and an amazing singer, all enjoying what they do. this had to happen, Floor Jansen and these guy's coming together, i realized that if i had heard them before Floor i would have stopped listening to Nightwish, (not because of the music) Thanks for another very nice reaction, see you at the next one, bye from the Netherlands.

In my 50s. A few years ago, I began watching Rammstein reactions to help with depression (they make me happy!) and Ghost Love Score kept popping into my feed. One minute in, I was all in! I immediately made my mom watch it...she's an.86yr old rocker who sings as a soprano...she fell in love too. I proceeded to immerse myself in learning everything about the band and watching reactions for every song, from every singer...I read about the band's philosophy of humanity, empathy, and kindness and I began to embrace that as a way of being...My Walden, so to speak! Now I'm totally addicted and spread the word to everyone, wear my Nightwish tanks to start conversations with strangers out and about. I almost feel like I'm prostilitzing! When I heard The Greatest Show On Earth, my perspective on life, mine and in general, really got slapped into a reality check! Despite being disabled, despite my pains and hardships...I felt great joy thinking about my place in the world, and how lucky I actually am, to be HERE! I will never forget the feeling, seeing them perform Ghost Love Score for the first time...and that feelings echo still, each time I hear it and see others discovering it! Y'all are definitely part of The Nightwish Army! You have the mindset, the heart and ability to embrace the band concepts and lyrics. I CAN imagine how much you're enjoying the journey! It shows, and thank you for sharing your joy with the world!

I'm 51 years old and Nightwish is my favorite band and the reason I found them is I started watching music reactions in 2020 and I kept seeing Nightwish thumbnails ,so I thought I would check them out , not knowing where to start they had a song named after my favorite band at the time Sweden's Amaranthe so I clicked the video of Amaranth video with Anette then contacted my niece who was a nightwish fan a long time ago for other songs to listen to she gave me a list but she gave up NW when Tarja left .So when I first heard Ghost Love Score I was hooked for the next few months I watched close to 300 videos of GLS being reacted to some times listening back to back for 6 hours n 5 hrs straight never getting sick even to this day it replaces Iron Maiden's Fear of the Dark as the best written song of all time in my opinion ,it only took a few months for them to become my fav band along with Disturbed n Amaranthe in a 3 way tie ,it took Disturbed 18 yrs to become my fav band in 2017, 5 yrs for Amaranthe to in 2020 n less the half a year for NW to do that and for a year having the exact 5 songs by them in the same order GLS Storytime Ever Dream Song of Myself n Romanticide it has recently changed but GLS Storytime Ever Dream still being my top 3 so since Nov 2020 when I started listening to them till today I listen to them easily 80% of the time and seriously I have tears in my eyes 9 times out of 10 Floor just exudes emotions I kidded with my niece why did she not get me into them decades ago I felt I lost out but who knows maybe I wouldn't have loved so much with Tarja n Anette thought they are great Floor the goddess is what made this all happen n Wacken 13 I ran on and on too lol

I'm 68. I re-discovered Nightwish in 2019 through KZbin. The name rang a bell and brought to mind "Wishmaster". I once owned a copy. I remember discussing the uniqueness of the operatic vocals combined with metal with someone in my writing class. I have around 1,000 CDs and vinyl , but I knew I no longer had that CD in my collection. (Maybe I leant it out and never got it back.) Although intrigued by the music, I wasn't then (and I'm still not now) enamoured with Tarja's vocals, so I never looked any further into their music. Floor, though, is something else and she fits the band perfectly. I've researched just about everything about Nightwish.

I love your reactions to Nightwish. I am 69 years old and I heard just 3 years ago from Nightwish. I saw a Dutch TV program called The Reunion about Floor’s first class at the Rock Academy in Tilburg. I became curious and searched on You Tube for Floor and Nightwish. Immidiatley I fell in love with this band. I always loved prog rock like Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd etc. The Nightwish members are excellent musicans and Floor is an outstanding vocalist. But Nightwish was and is still not famous in the Netherlands. Their music is not been heard on the radio, so it’s the same as in the U.S.A. The music is not radio-friendly. Floor however joined a dutch TV show called Beste Zangers. She impressed the dutch viewers and now she has her own solo career besides Nightwish. But it’s shame that so little people around the world never heard of the band. I myself enjoys reactions on You Tube, that people all over the world learn about the band and are enthousiastic. So spread the word. And I recommand also a dutch master of rock Arjen Lucassen with his Ayreon project. You have already made a reaction to “The world breaks down”. But there is a playlist on the Universe concert in 2017 live in Tilburg, The Netherlands. kzbin.info/www/bejne/noHGdX-NqLeLZpY

When I heard Nightwish first, on You Tube, Ghost Love Score, sometime in 2018, I had that same feeling of joy I felt with every Beatles song in the Sixties. I absolutely love Nightwish. And musically they changed my life. Never heard a better live band in my life..and I've seen bands like The Who and The Rolling Stones live in their prime. Thanks to them I now love all metal music. 🤘💥

Thankfully I stumbled upon this band by chance via you tube. I have heard some of their earlier work with the two previous singers since , however Floor to me can do no wrong . I am an avid reactor watcher and have witnessed many with the same jaw dropping look that I adopted when hearing and watching Floor perform for the first time. She has left me in tears on numerous occasions and to numerous different songs. I am not normally a ' metal ' fan , but since my first introduction I was hooked by this band , their stage performances, their togetherness and of course their current singer. I consider Floor to be the finest female vocalist that I have heard in my 63 years. My favourite songs vary from Sleeping Sun ,Tampere to Dead Boys Poem in Buenos Aires, Storytime anywhere and many, many others . I currently love watching the new show ending Ad Astra often through tears.

35. When I was 17, I was working at a movie theater with a guy that can only be described as a true music enthusiast. If the band existed at the time, it basically didn't matter how obscure, he knew who they were, what type of music they played, and how to suggest music for your tastes. He was basically Google for metal bands. I told him what bands I liked at the time, and he suggested Hammerfall, Nightwish, and Dream Evil. Nightwish really wasn't my jam at the time since I admittedly downloaded the wrong content. I remembered their existence in 2018 or 2019 and they have been headlining my music choices now ever since. Floor Jansen truly changed my appreciation of the band, and I've been able to go back and appreciate Tarja as well.

@@SueSueandthewolfman Yes, my eldest was born June 1, 1999. Nightwish has played in Dallas four times in the past, last in 2018, as well as other Texas cities. In fact, the first time Floor ever performed Ghost Love Score live was in Austin. Hoping they pass through here on next tour, likely in 2023. BTW, one of my favorites of theirs that I don’t think you’ve done yet, is Dead Boy’s Poem, from Buenos Aires. It’s an old Nightwish song that Floor puts her own spin on, doing it much differently than Tarja. You two will love it, I’m sure. Enjoy!

My car six-stacker has 6 Nightwish CDs in it (2 Tarja, 2 Anette and 2 Floor) and I don't skip over a single song. My blu-ray normally has one of the Floor blu-rays in it (I have them all) I had never bothered with KZbin until Covid lockdowns...so even Covid has its silver lining

I'm 48 from Europe, I have known Nightwish since their first album, And I have also knows Floor since she was 17 and was in the Dutch band After Forever. I personally love good music and most of the Metal bands are of a very high standard and most singer not all, but most of them really know how to sing. Also Metal is open to all kinds of music and instruments, its not all yelling and making noise. Now when Floor joined Nightwish I personally was in Heaven and very exited to hear her sing some of the Nightwish songs I loved so much. Because I loved Tarja the First Singer of Nightwish, But I couldn't for the love of god could get used to the voice of Annette the Second singer of Nightwish. It was like we had a Britney Spears singing for a Metal band everything she sings was sounding POP and she had the same sound. That was also the periode I personally kind of Stopped listing to their new songs performed by Annette Olzen. Keep up your wonderfull journey into the Realm of Metal you will be suprised their are a lot of great band. Especially the European Metal scene it's huge.

Then I watched it back on KZbin. Automatically you get also Nightwish songs, with Floor in it. And so I became also a great fan of this incredible band.❤ Unfortunately I have to become 62 to discover them, but better later than never, or something like that? It fits all in the moment and time we live in now, just like you say. I live in the Netherlands, like al kind of music, specially Prog Rock. So, the TV show, Beste Zangers with her solo covers, are great. The first song was, the Vilja lied. I was blown away!

That what I thought, but I didn't know the music. 3 years ago I got my pension and had more time to discover Nightwish. Then I realized how good and special this band is. Like a lot of reactors I didn't understand why this was not heard before. All what they do is amazing. Since 2 years I have tickets for the Amsterdam Ziggo Dome concert, which is postponed 3 times now due to Covid. Next chance is November 27th, 2022. 73 years old. I was doing research on youtube for some music I grew up with in the 60's. Stumbled onto music reactors and followed some threads and noticed the reactor community was tuning into GLS by Nightwish. Instantly hooked since todays music in the US is not too great in general. Last month drove 2 days from SW Florida to see Nightwish and Beast in Black in Silver Springs MD. Check one off my bucket list. Greetings from NW Army SW Florida. Love the reactions.

Just turned 62 on 5/28 and found out about Nightwish last year watching reaction videos and now love watching different reactors first time hearing their songs! Hello from GA

I'm 60. First knew of Nightwish in the early 2000s via conversation with other music lovers. The first time I actually heard them was seeing videos from End of an Era posted on MySpace. I was intrigued by Tarja but I was listening to angrier music at the time, I just wasn't ready for the uplifting Nightwish or Tarja's full on operatic approach. So I lost track of them for years, until fellow workers at the Ren. Fest I work at couldn't stop talking about them in 2017. I also heard a great deal about Floor on Instagram but they mostly commented on how tall she was. Then when Covid hit and I was home recovering from a neck injury, I finally sat down and watched Nightwish with Floor on KZbin. GLS was my primary pain medicine for months. I was so in love with the song I was scared to branch out. But after seeing so many comments that it was just the tip of the iceberg I journeyed on, and never to be disappointed. Since then I've become totally addicted to watching reactors discover Nightwish. Seeing them live in NYC was an incredibly emotional experience. It was the single item on my bucket list. Seeing them at a European show remains a dream of mine.

Thank you both for what you do! I've been "Subbed" to your channel a couple of months now, and you never disappoint. I'm 72 years old (Vietnam Vet) and was turned on to Nightwish after I watched Floor & Henk sing "Phantom" on Beste Zangers. I had never heard them before that and then I listened to GLS from Wacken. From that point I never looked back. I've watched, listened to and heard many, many groups, bands and ensembles, etc. in my lifetime and IMO none compares to Nightwish. This group of talented artists were born to do exactly what they are doing. Thanks again for your continued posts. TC and long life to you both.

I'm nearly 69 and I discovered Nightwish in the spring of 1999 when their breakthrough album Oceanborn was released in Europe. In 1999 they were playing in an Italian supermarket, and early 2000 they recorded a magnificent live album From Wishes to Eternity. I enjoyed opera, metal and prog since 1970. I discovered Floor in 2000 when listening to the After Forever debut Prison of Desire. I still listen to Black Tomb multiple times a year because it was just incredible for an untrained singer.

I'm 52 and started listening to Nightwish a year or so ago(maybe 2) through reaction videos. I knew they existed before, but had never checked them out. Still mad at myself for not doing that sooner. Same for EPICA and Within Temptation. This is the title track for the first album recorded with Floor and Kai, and was inspired by Richard Dawkins' book, The Ancestor's Tale. You 2 are both definitely part of the Nightwish Army.🤘🤘

Coming up to 70 in July. Found Nightwish through reactors on KZbin late 2019 during lockdown and couldn't believe what I had been missing. Of course it was Ghost Love Score Wacken 2013. Like you have also watched associated bands and also previous singers and nothing compares to Floor and Nightwish. But also impressed with Arjen Anthony Lucassen's Aryeon and Star One projects live. Some great singers like Russell Allen, Damian Wilson, Mike Mills, James La Brie, Anneke van Giersbergen and Marcela Bovio to name a few.

Hi guys! Love your reactions! I discovered Nightwish at the age of 48 in 2018 at Bloodstock, a festival in England. Never heard them before, I've been obsessed ever since. I will be seeing them again in Birmingham, England in November. Can't wait for that, in the meantime I'll stick with you!! 😉🤟🤟

I turned 65 in April. I came across Nightwish and The Greatest Show on Earth last year. Decided to check them out further and have been caught in the rabbit hole ever since. I only follow a few reactors on KZbin, you guys being one. I listen to Nightwish everyday, especially like to see people reacting who have never heard of them.

Haha, l'm 58, so we are the same generation, as so many of us. As a Finn, l've superficially known about Nightwish for over 20 years. As many of us it was the Covid and some reaction videos, when l really got the Nightwish and especially queen Floor. And now l'm all in! ⛄👍

65 now and I discovered Nightwish via a YT reaction video back at the beginning of Covid times when lockdowns etc. left me, a retiree, with little to do but rediscover music - most of which I had been away from for many years (decades actually). What a great journey! Glad you two have joined the NW Army.

Sydney base camp of the Australian chapter of the Nightwish army reporting in….I’ve Been a fan since 2004 when I was 34 - I am now the other side of 50. I’ve got to see them on 3 of the 4 Australian tours. Hoping that the Aussie dates for 2023 are released very soon. They tend to do the Australian tour when they do China/ Japan so fingers crossed. How I got into Nightwish was an AMV ( animated music video) and it was the intro to “dark chest of wonder” and the rest is history!

Fifty here... Really a weird story for me. I was working in Hamburg doing aerospace consulting and by chance somebody one in the office head unused Wacken tickets... As I was particularly keen on Alice Cooper, Hell yah I accepted! It was amazing ant the crowds were massive... So Alice Cooper finished with killer rendition of Poison... Nightwish was an unknown to me but the crowd was going nuts so I shifted to the other stage an joined the craziness. I'm getting a little info from my friends but they were... You'll see! So the crowd minus me was totally amping up! Well then Dark Chest of Wonders started with strobes and pyro and a huge sound... It was like the damn Mother ship had landed and everyone went batshit nuts when Floor took the stage! I was an instant convert and have been a fan for the last nine years. The never let you down. Every song they do is.like them going to war... I've never seen another band so committed to the music, so theatrical, and so much fun to listen to... Well I've raved enough. I really like your reactions and have subscribed of course. Than you and and a psychic pet for Booboo and Buster! Ciao!

I am 62 and discovered Nightwish after hearing and seeing Floor in the Dutch tv show Beste Zangers few years ago (as many others did), and that led me to checking out Ayreon, Epica and Within Tempation as well. I also love the latest album by Auri, a collaboration of Tuomas, Troy, and Tuomas' wife Johanna Kurkela - definitely not metal, but oh so beautiful and uplifting.

Nightwish has fans from 5 to 85. I am your age Wolfman and only discovered Nightwish is about 2018. I had heard the name but never really checked them out until I saw GLS live at Wacken. HOOKED! As soon a Floor hit those long notes "My Fall Will be for You". Well, "My Fall was for Floor"! Most of the reactor commenters are probably the older fans? When you play the keys standing up it is more ergonomic to tip the keys backward slightly. Without a doubt you are both high ranking members of the NWA. Passion for great music and the ability to feel emotion in music is everything you need to be welcomed into the ranks. Salutations to both of you Colonel SueSue & Major Wolfman. Happy Birthday to you son! 🎂🎂🎁🎁🎉🎉🎊🎊🎈🎈

I'm 52 an I discovered Nightwish through a reaction video of ghost love score (the charismatic voice) during the first Irish COVID lockdown about a year and a half ago. Your reaction videos are like witching music with friends an I really enjoy them. Nightwish are now my favorite and I had never heard of them or their style of metal before. I also love Sabaton and Epica now too and I thought I didn't like metal 😂

I'm halfway to 100 yrs. I was visiting my friends in Helsinki and we decided to take a " pub to pub" tour..... That was January/February 1998 (I think). So... We just went to a famous rock venue and right on NW first(?) concert in Helsinki. It was just a coincidence, but a lucky one. I had heard about NW (I'm an expat Finn) but never heard the music. Well, I surely did then 😁 Fan for life instantly. And it's kind of mandatory for Finns to adore Nightwish 😂

Hi SueSueAndThe Wolfman. I'm 65. My wife of 40 years, Carol, and I just had the tremendous pleasure of seeing Nightwish live in San Francisco at the Warfield Theatre on May 18th. What an amazing performance. I first discovered Nightwish in 2020 through a reaction video and fell in love with their live performances with Floor. As a SciFi, Thiller, and Fantasy novelist, I always pick music to write to from a particular band. And right now, Nightwish is it. I want to thank you guys for continuing your Nightwish reactions. Great fun.

Hi everybody, I am now 58 and found NW 2006 or 2007. It was Dark Passion Play that hit me hard. After that, somehow, I did not listen anykind of metal music for years. Then I suddenly realised that Anette is gone and they got a new this singer. Just a rabbit hole, there is no way out. NW gets better and better as they gets older.

I heard of Nightwish about two decades ago, but never took the time to listen to them until ...... Floor made her appearance in the Dutch tv-show "Beste Zangers 2019" (Best Singers 2019). Since then I'm hooked. Btw. I'm 66 years old (the J56 = Jansen 1956 (sadly not related to Floor as far as I know) and musicaly "stuck" in the 60's, 70's and part of the 80's.

I’m 51 and have been a Metalhead since I first heard Eruption in 1978. I was never into Nightwish early on because I couldn’t stand the opera voice 24/7 in all their songs. Since I heard Ghost Love Score with Floor about 5 years ago on KZbin, they’ve become my all-time favorite band. The way Tuomas writes and Floor sings brings out emotions like no music ever has. I introduced them a few years ago to my mom who is 75, and while she’s not entirely crazy about the metal aspect of the music, Floor Jansen has become her favorite female vocalist along side of Barbra Streisand and Lady Gaga.

I'm 70, (an ageing hippie), and I started to seriously listen to music around 1968. Of course there were amazing bands then (Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Pink Floyd etc). I have been discovering good bands ever since, (I was never into singers, mostly instrumental music). THEN...one day I heard Nightwish, and I realised I'd found my perfect band. It was all there, great soundscapes perfectly realised by the musical genius Tuomas Holopainen, minimalist yet melodic guitar playing by Emppu, great bass playing and supporting vocals by Marco, thunderous virtuoso drumming by Jukka. But the jewel in the crown was Floor Jansen on angelic, Goddess, soaring vocals. I'd found my ultimate band.
