Underrated song vote - Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean (Live in Buenos Aires). Fun vocals, catchy, and a great intro to the monster that is Kai on drums, and the charming Troy playing everything else.

I suggest "Yours is an empty hope" from the same concert as the next Nightwish reaction. Listen to it closely, then you´ll know why! Romanticide may be a word created as song title, but IMHO it still is a correct one, meaning 'killing romance'.

I think she knows what it means, she is just saying "stuff" because YT stupid rules lower content creators ratings or demonetize them automatcally when they use some words. It seems YT thinks we are stupid and by using alternate words, like "unaliving", which has been very popular with other reactors, we were believing we were avoiding talking about certain subjects instead of just using different words.

This song is Like a Coffee with Red Bull .... On Steroids 🤘❤‍🔥🤘. The “scream” at the end is called a glissando, going from low to high and back, for classically trained singers this is an exercise to warm up the vocal cords, so Floor will do this probably every day before breakfast 😆. Rachel, Floor & Marko are really good together in Greatest Show on Earth from Tampere, and you get to experience Troy a little playing Uileann Pipes and low whistle. He sings too but not very much in this one. You'll enjoy it! It's a long one, but play it to the end. (about 24 mins)

Floor covered 3 octaves in that glissando that she did in tandem with Marko. The studio version, from the Tarja era, only has his 2 octave slide. this is one of their heavier songs. Emppu doesn't shred like that very often, they play what the song needs, as opposed to showing off. Recommend Song of Myself from this Wacken show. And for a heavier song, that was written for Floor, Yours Is an Empty Hope from Wembley 2015.

The wicked witch scream is all about a scream of frustration over the end of a romance gone bad. Romanticide is the death or killing of romance. You mentioned “scrunchy face.” Also known as stank face. Acceptable in jazz, funk, rap, rock, metal, dubstep, etc. it’s generally used to convene the experience of heaviness or a response to virtuosity. The genre doesn’t matter, check out “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)” - The Beatles

Great reaction as always, loved it! The name of this song is directly tied to what the song is about. Its about a breakup after a nasty betrayal that was so bad that you feel like you’re done with love. I’ve definitely had one of those so I can totally relate to the lyrics that are very dark and full of rage and angst. And yes, there are alot of effects happening in this one, but there are a few that are even more intense. Just wait to you get to “Last Ride Of The Day” from this concert. 🔥🔥🔥

I definitely agree with some of the others down in the comments, and recommend The Islander, live from Tampere. Marco sings lead on that one, but the harmonies on that are phenomenal. Also, I see that you haven't been introduced to Nightwish's 3rd singer, Troy Donockley. When they are able to get 3-part harmonies going, it's really good. I'd start with I Want My Tears Back, from Buenos Aires for that. But definitely have a react to The Islander. You'll love it.

I've always thought that a Nightwish Show with Till from Rammstein doing the pyro effects would probably be the most epic experience possible. That being said, enjoying your journey down the rabbit hole, looking forward to your reactions to songs with more effects, 7 Days to the Wolves is fun, but Greatest Show on Earth from Tampere (tam-pa-rah), has to be the best. So... I've just spent the entire last night checking out the videos, slept, worked, came back and watched this video... Quite a channel I gotta say. Gotta point one thing out though, I'm not entirely sure what type of liquid they use for the fire effects, but Rammstein uses primarily gasoline for their fire "effects". "Dark Chess of Wonder" started the concert and it had more. Later when you get to the concert in Tampere the closing song "The Greatest Show on Earth" has more pyrotechnics than any other song (it's outdoors and it's wild). The song is LONG if you watch to the very end.

I forget which reactor called that last part a "double banshee slide," but now the term lives rent free in my head. I always love seeing people hear that for the first time. If you want more of Floor and Marco together, you might like "Last Ride of the Day" or "Ghost River" from this same concert, Wacken 2013. And if you're interested in more female-fronted rock/metal stuff, you might enjoy the bands Halestorm or The Warning. Halestorm's Lzzy Hale was recently featured on a phenomenal cover of Journey's "Separate Ways" by Daughtry. And The Warning has some great recently uploaded live stuff on their YT.
