It sort of depends where you watch a show thou. Usually if you see them on a festival they are restricted to a smaler time frame since they need to leave room for the next band. But yes about two hours are right for a normal performance. But then again depending on who they tour with the entire show with other bands can reach about four hours. Saw them togheter with Arch enemy and Amorphis 2015... That was a awesome four hour line up. Sort of was dissapointed they didn't go with the same bands as in the U.S tour that year, Delaine and Sabaton whould be even better, especially since Delaine means even more Marco...

Good reaction, as always. You mentiomed their shows. I've seen them live, last september 2018 in Buenos Aires. The show lasted 2 hours. But I was amazed by their energy. Man, they are playing two hours full power. It"s incredible. Nightwish is a very lubed machine that works like a clock. Yes, two hours of pure energy and love for what they"re doing. And that"s the other thing: you see 6 people on stage who are enjoying the ride. And that flows to the audience. Cheers from South America.

I am from the Netherlands. I shaw Nightwish in Amsterdam and the show was almost 2 hours long. That was the best show so far. Great music and great songs from the Decades tour. Best songs are: 1. The Greatest show on earth 2. Ghost Love Score 3. The poet and the pendulum I love Floor Jansen voice. So Dynamic and powerfull voice. The band was also playing very good!

Hi, great reaction. Again. :) Loved right in the begining you wanted to drink, the flames went the same time and you just didn't. :D Their shows are between 90 -120 minutes. This show was 90mins. But they do over 100 shows in one tour, usually 3 nights in row and day pause for 2-3 weeks in that tempo outside festival season. This one is from festival season, so 1-2 shows in a week depends on festivals they decide to go. And tour between year and year and a half including festivals in erope and non festival shows all aroun the word. Then pause to do another studio album or some side projects. How about to try some Ayreon? Age of Shadows for example. Live of course.

Wintersun - Sons of Winter and Stars (live rehearsal) The Nightwish stand-in drummer Kai plays in this band. Talk about playing the hell outta the instruments. Also check out Wilderun - The Means to Preserve. Both are folk metal with a mix of symphonic metal with both clean and harsh vocals.

I saw theme live in vicar street, dublin when Annette was with the group and even though it was a tiny venue (they looked pretty cramped on the stage) they fucking rocked it. I know it might have been shorter then i remember but it felt like i was there the whole night rocking out with nightwish. at one point marco even bent over to wave at the sitting area and i was right in front and waved back at him, we were that near the stage (again, small place) and he smiled at me and gave me thumbs up. they were passing water bottles out to people in the mosh pit because it was fucking hot there and when they were done they invited some fans back to drink with them in the bar. sadly i didn't know that happened, i was already gone! this happens a lot here in Ireland, bands hanging out in the smaller venues with fans cause i think we are just chill and make people relax. anyways, what i'm babbling on about is a nightwish concert, no matter how short or long feels like its going on forever and its an experience you will never ever forget!

Billy, the Male vocalist's name is Marco Hietala. He also played in a band called TAROT with his brother. You need to check out their original video for their song called Wings of Darkness from almost 30 years ago (yeah....that friggin' long ago...) Hey man, you asked how long the concerts are, I was at the one they did at the Bomb Theater in Dallas a few months ago and it was an hour and a half. It was a Tuesday night though and they were doing pretty much a concert a night, so they were probably fairly short sets. This is the huge Waken open air metal festival so I imagine they went over 2 hours for this one.

Usually it's something around one hour. Usually. In the 2018, during their Decades tour, I had a pleasure to attend one of the shows and experienced TWO hours of pure joy. Two hours man, her stamina is incredible. I've commented during video, so now I add something about "the whole band can sing" You don't see this in this video(2013) but now they're six member-band, with three members singing. If you want to check it out, I recommend you My Walden from Tampere. It's different from what you heard till now. About their names-main vocal is Floor Jansen and the basist is Marco Hietala. If you enjoy him singing I've good news for you. There's a band named Tarot with Marco as main vocal. And for Nightwish songs, from this kind of sound it'll be Ghost river and Yours is and empty hope. And for the gentle side-Islader from Tampere.
