Good to see you back on your Nightwish journey. Haven’t seen you in awhile. You are a lovely reactor. This is one of my favorites. Not too “hard”, but heavy and “dirty”, especially the second half. The lyrics to this one are quite deep, inspired by Walt Whitman’s poem of the same name, a inward existential examination of one’s self and how one fits into the grand scheme of things, and open to interpretation. It feels like Floor summons fire at her command in this performance. She is the best! Hope to see you do more Nightwish. There’s so much more to discover! Until the Breakdown hits you with a 10 ton hammer it is all fun and games. But then the slow chugging monster with the machine gun riffing takes over. And for every Metal Head this lights up the day. If you want to see more badass women, I'd recommend taking the channel to Japan. BAND-MAID and LOVEBITES are five piece bands made up of all women, while Wagakki Band and Unlucky Morpheus each have two female members. BAND-MAID is hard rock, Wagakki Band is a blend of Japanese folk, rock, and a bit of metal, LOVEBITES is heavy metal, and Unlucky Morpheus is, in their own words, "technical melodic speed metal." There's also Asterism, an instrumental power trio where the virtuoso guitarist is a young lady who just turned 19, and Babymetal, a unique group where a highly-skilled band backs three young women who mix intricate choreography with various genres. I have yet to find a bad song from any of those six groups, but if you do pick one for a reaction video, try to find a live video that's not a compilation.
