So many opinions, so many feelings. Many people will disagree with me, but I think this album by NW is one of their best that has ever seen the light of day. It is becoming more and more progressive, and that is right up my alley. A fantastic end to a delightful trilogy. Peace!

After seeing Ismo Leikola's reaction video to this song, all I can think of about the music video is "wow, they have really negleted skin care". If you want to see that reaction video, it's on the Nightwish official channel.

Like, it...was funny, but felt like Ismo was trying to hard. But I enjoyed the fact he was throwing the jokes in presence of Tuomas :)

@@jakubfranek9995 I don't know if Ismo had any time to prepare for the task. Normally comedians use hours to perfect a single joke and it appeared that he had to come up with jokes instantly. I'm sure if he had watched the video multiple times and only pretended to be watching it for the first time, the jokes would have been much better.

@@MikkoRantalainen Well that's one way to look at it. And the other way is, that you can tell a much more "performing character" comedian from comedians that are more naturally themselves. But it is not any criticism, I like Ismo! :)

There's another great video from 'Noise' from the previous album. It also has lot's of VFX but also a lot more 'genuine' acting. The challenge with these videos was that Floor essentially had just given birth when they were made, so they couldnt' really go full ham on personal action^^ The more impressive it is how they truned out.

Tuomas recommended this song / video to be the 1st song released from the new album Yesterwynde. The message in The Day Of … establish the themes throughout the album. Written during the lockdowns then add band, orchestra, children’s choir and a storyteller’s vision unfolds. Floor joining the children’s choir is the deep and meaningful part of this.

Thanks for sharing your insightful reaction to a song that gets better & better with each listen, which is something that defines greatness in songwriting. The composer, Tuomas Holopainen, has said that this song is his take against all the fear mongering that plaugues main stream media these days. For me it's a form of mind control to keep the masses of ordinary people in line with official narratives of the ruling class.

Is correct. Tuomas Holopainen quote: The song is about fear mongering and controlling people with fear, and that’s what leaders, religious leaders, political leaders have done for millennia. Today, especially media, it’s something that rubs me the wrong way every single day. Even though the world is still filled with problems that we need to address, there are terrible goings-on that we need to address. We are being fed the nonsense constantly about you have to be afraid of the world and we’re living in the worst times ever, the world is coming to an end, Y2K, the end of the Mayan calendars. How many times have we been predicted the end of the world and it’s never happening.

They work with one of the Best Orchesters..the London Orchester. For a long Time. Now with a new Conductor. No the Music Videos are always different. From Simple to Storytelling. I like to read, sing as it goes along.

I think you will love Oceans of a Strange Islands. I did take a drink on “Key Change”. 😂. Take your time to just sit with your eyes closed and listen to the new album. Very poetic and metaphorical lyrics and varied compositional styles throughout. You might “feel another tear coming dude” on Lanternlight. As always love your thoughts and insights.

My 3 favourites on the album that in my opinion are classic Nightwish. The Antikythera Mechanism The Weave. Kai's drumming is a Metal drumming Master Class. Spider Silk. The video that dropped yesterday Lanternlight, Tuomas sings. 20 plus years after The Carpenter you can tell Floor has taught him some stuffs and his baritone sounds beautiful. Both him and his homie Tony Kakko, I never want them to stop amazing me.

Cameras can stop recording for a number of reasons: older still cameras with video capability will stop at 30 minutes due to an EU tax reg (since rescinded) which would have taxed them at a higher rate if they recorded longer than 30 minutes, hence the deliberate limit. If you're using a 32GB or smaller SD card, the camera will stop recording when the file size reaches 4GB. That's usually around 8 minutes for 4K and 23 minutes for 1080p. You won't have this problem with cards that have higher capacities as the file system (exFAT) will handle files larger than 4GB. If your camera is shutting off completely, that's either battery depletion or overheating. Check to see if your camera has a tally lamp on the front of it. If so, find out how to turn it on in the menu. The tally lamp will be lit when recording and will turn off when recording stops, letting you know what is happening..

The videos are pretty wild, as a rule. "Shoemaker"may be the tamest of the lot, featuring only planets and moons and asteroids and the Sun and stars and a stellar (on several levels) performance by Floor. "Élan" is a crowd favorite, featuring a number of well-known and beloved (in Finland) Finnish actors. It's really sweet, in that weird Nightwish way. "An Ocean of Strange Islands" is a bit dull, IMO - seems like one trick, dragged out. (Which is a shame, given that the song is peak, epic Nightwish.) "Noise" is a really weird one, as is "Scaretale" (the scene from the _Imaginaerium_ movie is best: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mae1YmSEmZ2ohas ) While you're there, you get to hear Nightwish doing some nightclub jazz (and Anette Olzon as a torch singer): kzbin.info/www/bejne/mae1YmSEmZ2ohas With the videos, as with the music, no two are alike!

Anthony,a little aside. Have you been working out 'cos you look pretty buff !! Apart from your youthful age,you look more muscled-up since the Suite Clarity reactions from a few years ago. Your musical knowledge and assessment has always blown me away,for I have ZERO musical knowledge apart from the rapture entering my ears !! You're a good dude !! 😊
