Summer of 2004, Nemo was playing over some commercial on the TV and the 17 years old me thought `Whatever this is, it's amazing'. Got the album shortly after, my first metal record and when Ghost Love Score started playing, I was sold.

yeah that's been a huge step in the history of NW. The fact they didn't use a proper orchestra for the first 3/4 albums seems weird now. It's that natural element in NW DNA.

The orchestra looks epic. Tuomas is such humble genius and maestro, together with brilliant musicians in the band, you feel the love and care in every note and it is moving. I love music but hands down no group has moved me more than nightwish. The music is timeless my daughter (next generation) loved the music when I showed her. I ordered my CDs i can't wait to hear the whole album.

It was the orchestral version of The Poet and the Pendulum where I was first exposed to Nightwish and symphonic metal, and I was hooked from the first few minutes. I was in shock. I had never heard anything like that before in my life. The sonic power and fine details of the DPP orchestration still blows me away and it remains my favorite album to listen to. And from the moment I first heard the pipes and whistle I recognized Troy having been a fan of his since the late 1990s, and I continued to fall headlong in love with Nightwish. I'm sad that the great Pip Williams wasn't able to orchestrate this album, but it sounds like you have an excellent substitute. I can't wait to hear it!

Oh, that was so good! To see footage from more than 20 years ago is pretty cool. Time flies quickly! And that friendship with Troy ended up being quite fruitful. They've come a long way! And I'm pleased to know that the orchestra in this album is bigger.

I remember listening to all Nightwish albums, but when I heard Once, I couldn´t help but I always returned to Ghost Love Score, and I didn´t know why. For me it stood out. Now I know. To add a real orchestra to a melancholic metal song was the best decision Tuomas has done in his life, and it´s basically a milestone for history of music, in my opinion.

OK , Ghost Love Score was recorded in 2003 - let's say it was written the same year, or year before. That means that Tuomas composed GLS when he was NO MORE THAN 27 !!! wtf at that age I could not even compose myself !

He is a good piper, and has decent vocals, but his impact to the band seems to me too big. He is "aggressively happy" as one commentator out here stated. He aggressively taps on the shoulder of Tuomas, aggressively hugs Emmpu, it feels disturbing to me. Ofc there will be some nowadays fans, who are gonna say no, you dont understand etc. Whatever guyz, whatever. Maybe, you should go ahead and listen to another music except Nightwish
