Second and final comment: Reading most of this particular comments section made me realize why neither Tuomas nor Troy have social media pages, the amount of crap thrown at one person who only has helped expand Nightwish' universe is insane. Y'all even write things about Troy as if he's some sort of demon who has influenced Tuomas' mind negatively, some evil entity that switched his mindset from their initial topics (fairytale-ish lyrics) to these deeper, more realistic, serious ones, is that's why their albums feel "boring" or "ruined"? It doesn't make sense to me how grownup Nightwish sound equals boring, when I actually find it fascinating..... Then again, I'm in my mid 30s, so maybe that's a factor in my pov. Serious, mature topics aren't for everyone.

I've always thought of not only Troy but all the members of the band in Nightwish as tools for Tuomas to bring his musical ideas to life. Just like a painter, the more colors he/she has available to them, the more vibrant and colorful a painting they can create.
@joaobigfoot7 ай бұрын
@@dakken74 Yes, that's why Dark Passion Play is so different to everything else for example, and I really like it! I listen back to back from the Elven path songs to the latest song and is just great music, and each person gave something to it
@missrubyphoenix7 ай бұрын
@dakken74 even when I understand what you mean, I think using the word "tool" is dehumanizing said members, it's like saying Tuomas has sucked the creativity out of each of them in order to manifest his ideas, until they're no longer useful, like a painter would use a brush until its bristles can no longer hold or spread the pigments on the canvas

Dear Nightwish, thank you for this video! It is very important and interesting to find out how music is written, how much work and your feelings you put into songs, how magic is created! In this video, we managed to show us a part of the atmosphere in which you were during the recording of the album. 🌲✨ I will look forward to new parts of your videologs! And, of course, the album!!! It's very cool that you go ahead, following the call of your heart, and that's what makes music special and unique! Thank you for coming into my life and still being in it! You are amazing! 💙💙 P.S. Happy Birthday, Troy! Thank you for joining the team once! 💙💙

I am not into metal music nor fantasy. Yet Nightwish is an exception for a reason. Their music gives me goosebumps and shivers. It is out of this world and still fucking real. I consider Tuomas to be as great a composer, as Beethoven. The songs uncover the depths of the human soul; the music represents hidden but omnipresent materialized energy harmonized into spectacular tones. On top of that, Nightwish's recent engagement with Richard Dawkins' ideas escalated into an awesome symphony celebrating the existence of life at its core. The new level of the Ode to Joy...and I and you are there when it happens...

Then I hope there’s plenty of Pan, as Pan is what remains of what I go to Nightwish for that still existed in the last two albums. Of course there’s also the masterpiece in The Greatest Show on Earth. Absolutely perfect as in the third era (1. bunch of idiots - by Tuomas own words, 2. angry to calm survivors, 3. extraterestials) Nightwish/Tuomas separates fans on the basis of their more or less narcissistic egos, not hearing and understanding the words of the songs even from the first era, e.g. Romanticide. It shows the future of Human.:||:Nature.

Well that was short and sweet. 😕 I AM very happy to have seen this, but for such a highly anticipated album, I expected more to it.

Absolutely and always love you guys but the mix of this first single is not a great listen, love the song but floor is on the backround all the time and so is emppu for most of the time i understand of there is some artistic view a reason for this and i am all for that but listening in the car or earplugs was way off what the listening experience of Nightwish has always been. Kiitos Nightwish te olette nyt ja aina maailman paras bändi jonka albumeilta ja kappaleista saattaa löytää jotain uutta vuosien jälkeenkin. Kaikkea hyvää jos tämän joku teistä lukee!
