@@oxqa She was among the cultural group which was ambushed near Keren, Eritrea. The group traveled from Harar to Afabet. They showed their music infront of the Soldier. But On their way to Asmera they were ambushed. In that incident, 17 were dead and Nigisti Abebe was among the dead.

@Mesfin, It happened while Nigist and the band (ምስራቅ ዕዝ ኦርኬስትራ) were returning from the Keren Front (ከረን ግንባር) after performing to the troops there. The attack happened in a particular area called ኣዲ ተኽሊዛን:: I heard that intelligence reached to Shabia from the locals that the band is in Keren and would be returning back towards Asmara through that particular area. Thus, Shabian troops threw an ambush there; and all of the band, except two or three individuals perished.
