I'd argue it takes a completely different level of commitment to fight death as a sorcerer or mage. I'm not as inclined to the magic vocations and I sure as hell wouldn't tackle Death of all things as one.

Sorcerer is incredible overpower in this game with a party , but I never tryed to do it solo I thought because of the cast time and low defense it was inviable, I guess I was wrong.

It completely depends on ur positioning solo. Get the high ground on cliffs or rocks so the enemy cant just hit you. I use 1 warrior pawn with war cry and 2 fighters with shield drum they take all the aggro while i can do spells to change the tide of battle.

So I'm playing the BBI randomiser atm (hard mode, solo, went straight there after the cyclops, etc, etc) and have found myself using Sorcerer a lot (Maelstrom my beloved) so figured I'd go back and watch what Sorcerer content of your's I could. Have you tried out the BBI randomiser? If not you should give it a peek, makes for a hell of a fun weekend with the difficulty options maxed

I have been wondering for a while now but finally decided to ask after trying several things for myself. Where do you rank up your vocations? I notice depending on the vocation you’ll have some near max level vocation augments and some max vocation augment and only be about level 32-36 but when I try to achieve that I always end up level 31 just from ranking one vocation with both the rings that boost discipline

A few ways to do it. My preferred way is Hard Mode, solo, with 2 rings of perserverence killing the goblins and ox outside of Gran Soren. I can usually get a vocation to rank 9 between 45 and 75 minutes and typically only level up 3 to 5 levels. The 3 basic vocations require the least amount of discipline, then the advanced vocations require more, and the hybrids require the most. Ans extrem measure is just before leveling up as Mage, you switch to Sorcerer. Level up as Sorcerer, switch back to mage and continue ranking as mage, but leveling as Sorcerer. Or you can play in easy mode, with all 3 pawns. This will keep your leveling up low and keep ranking discipline about the same. Then switch to hard mode when you get the vocations to rank9. The main thing is keep your kills rewarding around 100 experience per kill. This rewards the best ratio of discpline to low exp.

@@Nihil0.0 so newbie question here, but whats the purpose of keeping your level low(30-35 range) while leveling vocations ? from what ive noticed no matter how high your level is your vocations will rank up at the same speed? am i missing something? or is this just for a challenge?

@@DemiurgeDarkfire just to keep low level. Not be so powerful. A lv30 can't equip the top tier weapons without stamina penalty.

For the banshees just grab them and throw them over the ledge Including the part with the stairs, if you throw them from the very top of the stairs they will take fall damage

I wanted to get rid of all hitboxes down there prior to spawning Death, so I could gravity kill Death. Hence Banshee Petrify

No particular reason. I just rarely get hit while casting so I don't need much defenseive augments

The Caged Fury and Force Hatchet are my 2 most favorites

I would say it is extremely good if you are good at not getting hit. It functions very similarly to the Force Hatchet, it builds up power as you land hits with spells but will lose those stacks if you take a hit. At max stacks and upgrades (with good stats) it can out-perform Sanguine Stalk.

@@tecuanita8812 Sanguine Stalk and Caged Fury are both the best, but Sanguine Stalk is much safer to use. But Caged Fury is much easier to get and easier to uograde.

@@Nihil0.0 Ok. I was trying to figure out how can you do that much damage to foes at lvl 32. I had a bad time killing that skeleton brute at lvl 50+ even with high miasma. You've killed it with 3 high comestion wasn't it? That's why i tought yo was on easy.

@@Sonek4BR Miasma is weak against undead. Use Fire or holy. Comestion is also blunt, which is even more damage against bones
