I don't think it looks good though. ESPECIALLY when they play some scenes that WILL happen in the game and we see them moving their mouths. Before, when they were just stactic images and 2D Animations, even if we saw a scene that would happen, we would be seeing a scene in a different format and that was cool, because it wasn't just like it would happen, it wasn't just copy and paste you know?. This opening for me looks way more like if a Fan of the game caught the best moments he liked on the gmae and put them together and made a Fan Opening. It's cool yes, they're showing how much the expression AND choreography is better now, but it's also lazy and less professional for me personally. Because anyone can do this if they have footage of the game. NO ONE without an amazing talent to make animations in 2D can replicate the previous opening without tons of work. Animation takes time and effort. I still prefer the Cold Steel 1 and 2 animations, even 3 and 4 instead of this new style. But that's me. I will buy this game anyway.

@@advmx3 it's possibly to budget. If they outsource the anime openings usually, this could be their way of doing it while saving costs. Afterall, they're still working on building their own game engine at the moment.

@@advmx3 I know this comment is 2 months old but I wanted to just throw it out there that I had the same initial reaction about the lack of an animated intro scene (I just started playing through cold steel this month and am currently about 25 hours into 3 with 4 sitting on my shelf waiting for me to catch up.) Buuuuut, then I sat and had a think. I realized that even though this isn't the animated intro I was hoping for, it still looks good enough and I am just happy to see that Falcom is doing intro scenes at all, considering I just beat Ys 9 2 months ago and that game didn't even have an opening sequence at all. I was starting to get worried there Falcom! Please don't give me a heart attack like that!

oo no anime opening now, look at that refined animation. Good to see the team improvements along the years.

Yah I don't link too much the fact that there's no 2D animation. And I'm not even asking animation like Cold Steel IV(Because I like to think CS3 animation never existed). I'm talking about CS1-2 animations. That being said, this opening serves to show us two things: First, they probably will start using 3D animations for openings for now on, it's cheaper. Second is that they refined a LOT the "outside of battle" animations. I remember Cs3 Graal of Erebos where after the battle two or three members of Old Class IV stay behind to fight, but the fight is never shown. This opening actually show fucking battle choreography! That's FUCKING amazing. If they do those ingame after a battle, THAT's a step in the right direction for me. I kinda noted that after Cold Steel 1 they didn't try to make "outside of battle choreographies", the last one was what? Rean vs Victor? I dunno, in Cs3 it's like they never tried. Dunno about 4.

@@advmx3 They are putting those budget for pure game development, since they're developing their own engine now, maybe they don't want to waste too much money on just the opening. in CS3 actually there are some choreography, but a bit and stiff..

軌跡シリーズOPと作中楽曲毎回楽しみにしてます_(._.)_今回は例のウィルス環境下である事も込めて 一つの試みのOPなのでしょう！ 銀の意志ｽｰﾊﾟｰｱﾚﾝｼﾞ版で心を変える事のできた身として、空FCのオーブメントからの入り SCの背を向けた剣帝から延びる景色、飛んで 各キャラの立ち位置と音の緩急が気持ちいい碧、アニメとメカの演出に見入る閃II、軌跡を外れますが東京ザナドゥのアニメ作品OPは何度も聴いて 見て、ワクワクしました！閃IV苦しい声多かったんですね・・知らなかった・・私は曲好きです、好きな人もいます！空以前 閃I以降と碧、那由多プレイは手が回ってませんが…楽曲はずっと聴いてきたんです、ずっと好きです。 叶うなら、引き込まれるアニメ&CG演出 キャスト表記にもワクワク感を貰う作品がまた見たいです！サントラ楽しみにしています！

I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by this game. One of the best Trails games and arguably the most fun as well (Haven't played Kuro yet). The pacing is amazing and they finally gave us a game with no support requests for the first time since Sky the 3rd.

The animations truly improve, i hope in game also same for the cutscene. I hype about divine blade fight also the crossbell part. Ilya is not golden butterfly, she looks like get mind controlled(if you already play CS4 you might understand this based on her mask). Also they teased C , lapis, nadia and swin as new squad for the next game 🤔

Wasn't it hinted that Golden Butterfly supposed to be an Eight Leaves One Blade user, or even a Divine blade? So I would expect him to be saved for Calvard arc. It's been some time since I refreshed my lore tho, but he was definitely from the same organization as Sharon and the 4th Anguis.

Ilya have nothing to do with ouroboros, most theory right now she might another ilya that came from other timeline, just like how normal end rean came into current timeline. Like i say theory about ilya being golden butterfly is useless.

Because my JPN is pretty trash, I apparently confused 3 and 9 from the books with Sharon and whoever the boy was. Because they both shared the 3/9 major arcanas, but yea book was definitely about Swin and Nadia (who somehow share 3 and 9 minor arcanas).

前回かなり批判されたアニメやめて自社製作に戻したのかな 個人的には空FCみたいなOPの方が好きな回顧厨だけど魅せる3D作り頑張って欲しいからこれで良いのかもしれない まだ紹介されてない部分を勝手にあれこれ妄想しながら販売まで待とうと思います

Just went back and replayed zero and ao again, finally caught up after finishing the sen series. I'm there day one for this game.

Yep can’t wait for this game but first on my agenda is to get trails of cold steel 4 in English on October 27th Then beat cold steel 4 in just a few days then Replay since the true ending isn’t achievable on your first play through And then wait anxiously for 2 years for a localization of hajimari no Kiseki maybe watch some let’s players play hajimari no Kiseki in Japanese
