I'm currently living in Japan and I use Japanese at work and daily life. I’m sharing what I’ve learned from my language school and through self-study. I'm not a native Japanese speaker nor am I a licensed Japanese language teacher. I’ve passed the JLPT N3 exam and am planning to take the JLPT N2 test in the future. So if you find any mistakes, feel free to let know so that we can all learn together. Thank you!

Hi, I'm doing self study and I must thank you by all my heart that you are my only hope for making my learning easy. I searched for a lot of tutorials and I found your channel as the only most useful tutorial. Thanks a ton :) arigatou gozaimasu sensei !! At the end of the video you said 'Matta ne'. I understand matta means see you, what does the word 'ne' means in this context? Does it simply means 'See you bye'? Also can u explain more the usage of 'ne' in other contexts?
@NihonGoal
@NihonGoal 6 жыл бұрын
Hello! "ne" kinda means "...right? or isn't" For example, "kirei desu ne" could mean isn't it pretty? But with "mate ne", literally meaning mata=again , ne=right? could be translated as see you again or until next time.
