I was using a haute42 16 button controller (and the M aluminum one) for the extra buttons but I bit the bullet on trying this controller since it looked nice and the switches feel amazing. I might end up switching this one to being my full time controller.

Man, that switch to change from: D-pad to L-Analogue is a great feature, I have MK4 on PC and I cannot play it, because Junk Food Arcades doesn't have a way to "emulate" L-Analogue. Yes I can do this with software, but I don't want to, that software looks sketchy AF.

makes it great for playing emulators too. I can play most of my retroarch library on it no problem as long as it doesn't require a second stick

@@mvargasmoran works great with the $30 dongle. i use mine at local events a few times a month on ps4 and ps5. fave random use case is emulation on my ipad on the go. slimmer profile than a pad in a small bag!

@mvargasmoran u might need a Brook FGC Wingman converter dongle for $60... Speedy sells other dongles too... Otherwise you'll deal with an 8min timer due to it not being licensed by Sony...

So, this is no different that the Slab mini? Well, +2 function buttons. I bought a slab mini last year and I'm hava blast, feels sturdier that any haute/cosmox.

Was interested in a slab and im glady pointed this out, usually when i press buttons specially like a F,F, 1+2 in tekken i feel like my haute is bending in half bruh

I like the idea of an aluminium button box controller. Maybe we could get a "Wooting Keyboard" thingy, so that we have all that cheating into a controller and that super fast Hall Effect actuation and release thing.

Demand. MS elite controllers sell millions, these sell hundreds. Also MS elite controllers are easily broken trash, these take a beating. Also not cheap to do it in metal.

Because many of these things are made by single makers or very small teams with direct sales. This one's made by a single dude. Even with that in mind, this is extremely competitively priced. Cheaper Haute42 boards are acrylic stacks, and the cheapest metallic ones cost about the same as this. And this one has superior switches to those. I've got a couple Haute42 boards, I love 'em, and if you don't want to spend much then I recommend them. But they're made with barely-beveled acrylic that creaks and bends, and if that bothers you, that's what these nicer options are for.
