I've been watching you since your 3DS videos, at that time I was 16 years old. Now I'm 25 and I still look forward to every one of your videos. Your content never misses, and it just keeps getting better ;) Happy holidays!

So glad I discovered your channel. From the PSP stuff, arcade bits, controllers and sims, random doodads, driving, coffee, philosophy/perspectives/takes, I feel like I have a mentor or a friend - one who dishes out these random curveballs of interesting things that give insight and food for thought. Cheers NihongoGamer, and happy holidays. Thanks for all your content, and for being a solid part of my 2024. Hope yours, mine, and everyone else's 2025 is even better. 🍻

As someone who has been consciously making the shift towards more physical mediums in my hobbies I really enjoyed this. I switched from digital sketching to using brush pens in the last year and its completely changed the way I interact with drawing. After hearing you talk about bullet journaling I think I'll try to do the same with my journaling and give that a try, would be great to see a video where you go more in depth on your system for it.

I should try bullet journaling. Specially because it allows me to keep track and stay motivated. Sometimes I feel like I haven't done anything in 12 years or so but once I think about it I have. It should keep me grounded.

That bullet journaling sounds awesome. I would love to find a nice small handheld size with a hard back.

Bullet journaling sounds like something I need to get into.

Not that I’ve been here for every video, but having been subscribed since early Vita videos, I cannot believe I didn’t know you were a parent. Hope your well. Great vid. Happy Holidays!

I love the bullet journal method. Went digital for a while and came back to analog. Level it up with a portable printer that prints on stickers and you can add images to your journal instantly. Canon Ivy 2 is a good option.

I have something important to say about "Thing 4." If you (the reader / fellow commenter) struggle with paranoia on a daily basis, you might not think that "Thing 4" is a great idea -- HOWEVER -- it's life changing! The first step to experience what NihongoGamer is talking about while struggling with that, is something called "Exposure Therapy." And to experience how exposure therapy works, you need to conquer your own fears. How do I know? Because I tried exposure therapy after way too many years of living in fear everyday. How did I "shatter my paranoia"? I put myself out there, on KZbin. This personally worked like magic for me, but remember that everybody's different. I did what I was personally afraid the most of: Showing my true self to the public. I actually told my counselor it was "One hell of a way to try exposure therapy." He laughed, then agreed.

"it's the little things" is what they say right....when you do photography you suddenly realize what it really means.....i started taking walks through nature this year...and first thought was "wow this is pretty and relaxing" but not more than that.....then at some point i started making pics and videos and zooming in and...wow.....every plant is not just green....every insect is not just black.....everything is so much more alive then you realize and super unique it's incredible :) i try to use this perspective now in most aspects of life....to look closer at the "little things'

@@NihongoGamer lol well they're very young so once they're asleep I have a decent amount of time (from 8pm until whenever I decide to go to bed) although sometimes I probably stay up later than I should and have to make up for it by going to bed at the same time as they do and just sleeping the whole night to catch up lol. It does help that I mostly work from home and my job is not too demanding or stressful that's a big plus.
