To use thoes clips on stanlry or aby other tape measure get apropate colored electrical tape or vinyl fine line tape in said thickness. Rubber or plastic/ composite door ships would work great. A good source of that rubber would be a small Fernco pipe fitting.

If there was a way to ''stick'' them to wood or pvc plumbing pipe, they'd be very handy.

I have rules with stops so I understand getting the quick measurement instead of reading what it says. In fact it's usually more accurate and faster by getting measurements without a rule or tape measure. That's why people use story sticks with no numbers on them. That's really the only purpose I see with these tape measures.

I never liked the Japanese style of tape measure because they read 30- 12345.. 40-12345... instead of ongoing numbers 31,32 etc. which can be a pain in the butt if you read the tape from the other side.
