I agree entirely with what you say Cholerou. Unfortunately, some apathetic, ignorant nincompoops do not like harmony and love to differentiate(racists). Language or looks do not decide whether we're Indians are not; in fact, it is our birthright, and these racists (with God alone knows what superiority complex, although most of them have never achieved anything) are no one to decide that. I have been a victim of such racism several times, and I know how hurtful it is to be treated differently(Although I can't step in the shoes of others who experienced it as everyone's experiences can differ). In fact, this was when I was on a trip to the Northern parts of India. Also, this happens now even though I am not in India, and several fellow Indians I encountered outside India discriminate deliberately by calling me a South Indian, and people from South calling me a North Indian. These things don't make any difference to me as I come from a multicultural family. I fail to understand why it is always North-South, East-West; why can't I simply be an Indian? Martin Luther King once quoted, "Look to a day when people would not be judged by the looks and color of their skin." I hope this changes. You can change people by providing them good education, but what about mentality? That needs to change too!

Well. That's not true you know. Bihari people are discriminated against in Assam, Nagaland and Mizoram. We all know about Mandai massacre in Tripura where 350-400 Bengali people including women and children were massacred, and we also know how Muslims are treated in Assam. So, discrimination goes both ways. But yes, it should stop. We are a diverse country, but the beauty of India lies in unity in diversity. We all should respect that. The world has come a long way. In today's world even nationalities don't matter. I have worked with Chinese, Germans, Americans, Vietnamese, Dutch and British. But whenever I interact with anyone I just see another human being and nothing else, and here in India we can't even live with our own people !!! We all are just one race, the human race. Peace.

Every now and then we Northeastern people are facing Racism and Treated us like we are not from Bharat desh.Wherever we go parts of india people look down on us,small e.g Even Auto wala also charges high fair when they see us....etc!This is not fair,thats not the way to treat other fellow human being....At one time Rahul Gandhi visited the state and what he said was amazing....He said India is a country with so many cultures and proud to be Indian because there is no other country like India with so many unique identities under one umbrella....Such a great leader of his words.

this is exactly what happened in the past few years in different part of the state of india i don't want to mention the state .. i don't know why are we getting racist we welcome hoh guys so calmly i our places this is what we are being treated in return we north east are Indian too stop racist 🚫
