Had the guy not respected her , he'd not inform her about the pictures and had come to the police station to file a complaint. We all know that photos even after being deleted can be recovered, and he wouldn't have been blamed if he lied to her. But I agree that since that is a problem, you shouldn't send such pictures even if your partner is trustworthy, because it's not always their fault. In this video , the girl was sending pictures consentually (which is wrong too) but the boy alone isn't to be blamed. He did his best to help
